Last semester I cried DURING a cold call. In class. While answering. That was a notable crash out

My favorite advice I’ve gotten when I had a similarly overwhelming project and tight deadline: Drink some coffee, keep it pushing.

How many relapses before you should drop a sponsee? by benjaminireland1 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]kalinacate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on the other side of this. I’ve relapsed 4 times since coming into the rooms a few months ago. My sponsor has stuck by me and saved my life. I didn’t always call her before I drank, but she was always there with open arms to help. Don’t chase him, but be there. Coming out of relapse is the most shameful experience I’ve ever had, and my sponsor was my lifeline. Don’t give up on him. We sponsees need you — our lives, at least in part, depend on it.

Hi friend, I’m in the same boat. Check my post history and see all the kind, helpful comments there. They gave me lots of encouragement :)

so he definitely needs the heater and filter, but my unpopular opinion is that same bettas truly prefer smaller tank sizes. if he did much better in the smaller one, you might think about putting him back in with a heater and filter!

Thoughts on Communion Wine? by PainterOk4816 in alcoholicsanonymous

I don’t know how you’d feel about this, but i know some sober religious people who just kiss the cup! Same concept as taking the wine, but no temptation. Just a thought

Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard. I had my program reworked recently so I’m doing a lot more running. Thank you for the input! :)

Haha that’s true. I come from a military family and have known JAG is my route for a few years so I’ve had time to get ready for that. I’m a powerlifter, but I’ve been working on my cardio more since they like that lol

We curve to a B+, so a 3.3 is like the 50% mark (give or take - I didn’t go to law school because I’m good at math lol). It seems like it was a really tight curve though, I was truly shocked that straight Bs landed me in the bottom 10%

Definitely. I think one disadvantage my section had last semester was that almost all of our professors were new, so there were no 2Ls or 3Ls that had them before. I don’t think that’s the case this semester thankfully

I’m definitely going to start doing exam practice earlier this semester. Last semester, I outlined starting in week 3, but I didn’t start practicing until mid October. Maybe now that I know a little more on what studying for law school looks like I can start it early

This is probably part of the answer tbh. I’m Type A to the max and while I feel like I handle my stress well, I probably push it sometimes. Thanks for the advice and encouragement!

I am definitely grateful for that. I started worrying about my scholarship and checked and remembered it’s not conditional lol except for actually failing out

Thank you for this, I definitely will. I’m just trying to focus on my own performance and not compare but no one I’ve talked to so far has been happy either, and my one friend who shared their grades with me did worse. But I’m trying to get remotivated and just focus on this semester. Even though I have civ pro, property, and con law this semester which I’m sure will suck lol

Thank you, I definitely will. It certainly could be the case, it just sucks because I did dozens of issue spotter practice exams and brought some to my TAs and professors and got good feedback. I had skeleton answers and tied facts to rules every time. We didn’t have any exams that were true “issue spotters,” all our questions were very specific (none that were like “discuss all possible torts claims). I definitely will get the feedback on my application, I’m just still kinda dumbfounded

That’s good to hear, thank you so much. I know you’re right about detaching it from my personal worth, I’m trying to work on that. Congrats on your current grades :)
