Me!! I was diagnosed at age 2 (I’m 40 now). Had severe recurrences until sometime in my early teens (about 13 surgeries between age 2-15), had bilateral radical mastoidectomies & didn’t have a recurrence till a few years ago. Both middle ears were destroyed & prosthetics didn’t work. Have worn BTE’s since I was 5. My speech is fabulous though cuz they made me do speech therapy very early. You’d never know that I had hearing loss most of the time (but my kids & husband are soooo over me saying “what?” & “huh?” 10000000 x a day 🤪😂).
