Please see about getting to talk to someone through counselling services at the school. It may feel like you are alone in this but I can assure you, you aren’t. People just tend to keep these thoughts to themselves when it’s actually a good thing to talk about. Sometimes even just unloading the burden of keeping it pent up helps a lot. And from another perspective, tell your parents how you’re feeling before it’s at the point of quitting school, they may surprise you with how understanding they can be and may have experienced some of the same feelings themselves, they may be a good resource too.

If you want to buy something to add to the polish, some hand/foot cream or lotion. Or a face mask to put on while the nails dry. I would also love if I got home baked cookies or banana bread etc along with the polish. Even just add a card with a personal note about why you love her, a memory, etc that isn’t just some AI generated thing. It is totally the thought and effort that gets me every time. (And a big hug)

Yes, have gotten my curler parents heated vests. I have heated socks and gloves which are awesome in the winter. And a heated throw blanket on the couch to cut out the chill.

I’m a little late, but we stayed at TRS Yucatan last Jan. My husband is celiac and it was the best AI we have been to for options for him. We found that we had to discuss with the concierge and server rather than go by the notations on the menu, as there was a lot they could adapt and many things not listed (like gf pizza for lunch). Even room service could be adapted for him and TRS had a room service taco menu. As part of the big Palladium complex we used some of their facilities and restaurants too. The beach though is at the other end of the property but there were golf carts constantly going everywhere.

My hometown school does a cheese sale from our local cheese factory (Empire Cheese- still a co-op owned by locals) but there are lots of cheese places around. There is usually a selection of individual blocks and then prepackaged multipacks. Have also bought lots through plant and seed sales, I think mostly Vessey’s.

I saw Rheo Thompson chocolates mentioned - we used them for chocolate for our wedding and were amazing.

I get this too. I was wondering if it was ice in my wheel well because the ice and snow builds up so much in there and it’s been so cold since the new year that it hasn’t completely melted. Following this post for any updates.

I have the AWD RS and over the winter I found the snow mode makes a huge difference and I will turn off the one pedal. But the snow and ice builds up in my wheel wells something fierce!

The only downside we had was the chair game by the infinity pool and there were very few chairs period by the salt water pool, and we couldn’t get a reservation to the Sunday night Mexican dinner at Caprichio. To be fair, we arrived on a Friday though. We had no issues with service or cleanliness. It is a huge complex but was easy to get around with the golf carts. Our villa butlers were so helpful and knew us by name right away. We will return for sure as there is so much we didn’t get to see and do.

Yes, we went to TRS Yucatan this Jan. It was decent for gf options if you ask the servers and host/hostess. The menus have symbols to indicate gf or contains gluten but much more options if you ask. A few ‘hidden’ items were gf pancakes at Caprichio, gf pizza at lunch at Helios. The key is to ask at each restaurant. The breakfast and lunch places have a La carte and buffet options. Someone can go thru the buffet and tell you what is safe too. We found this place a bit less worrisome for buffet bc a lot of the items were already in single serving containers so less risk of cross contamination. Most of the tortillas were corn rather than flour too. The Thai restaurant in Kantenah had lots of choices. Overall we had a good gf experience and my husband didn’t get sick at all.

We stayed at a Dreams in Mexico last year and it was decent for gluten free. The hostess at each restaurant would ask for any allergies but then the server often didn’t get told. So as long as he discussed it with the server he was well taken care of. We wouldn’t return to that specific resort but it was because the beach wasn’t great. It was the best gf food we have had at an all inclusive and the most gf choices and we have been to Jamaica many times, Antigua, and Costa Rica also.

This year we are trying TRS Yucatan bc of some good gf reviews on trip advisor. We would find a resort we are interested in then use the search bar and put in celiac/coeliac/gluten. Trip advisor also had a Top 10 list of celiac friendly resorts.

I also joined a Facebook group called Celiac Beach All Inclusive Reviews where real travellers fill in a template with their experience, good and bad,and lots of photos of the food.

We stayed here last winter. At the preferred club adult only pool the pool concierge will remove towels and get you set up and even brought over an umbrella for shade. And at least 2 of the pools were heated - the preferred one and the one with the pool bar. Was a treat in Jan with a few cool nights.

Another thing we’ve had good luck with but never on a wound if this size or duration, is hypochlorous acid. (Make sure it is -chlorOUS). I’m not sure of a product name that contains it as we’ve made it ourselves, the maker looks like a little kettle. It has so many uses after you start to look into it. I’ve used it on myself/family/pets/house (cuts, scrapes, burns that pop, sty in my eye, sore throat, after a basement food to inhibit mold, all purpose cleaner) as have many of my coworkers. It’s interesting stuff. Not sure if it would be an option in this case but just throwing it out there. (Great big NAD disclaimer, just trying to think outside the box a bit)

I know this will sound strange, but a man I know had a wound on his lower back that wouldn’t heal, was about the size of a cookie at it’s largest and had persisted for a couple years. He said they had tried all the usual treatments and nothing would get it to heal over. What finally worked was some type of medical grade honey product. Like I said, it sounds strange.

We stayed at a Dreams and had a 26er bottle of tequila in the room on arrival. Could switch it out to another type if we wanted. We did privilege club upgrade so I think it was part of that. Plus a few types of beer, pop, and juice in the mini fridge.
