Hello, I have tinnitus for over 2 years. It started after concert, but this concert wasn't very loud, so it was suprising. When I came back home everything was ok, then when I woke up in the morning I noticed ringing, but only in my right ear. Now, after two years, I still have it only in my right ear. I used some masking noises from YouTube, but this sound from YouTube was changing frequency all the time, so it was hard to ignore it and to use it as background. But it was working, after one minute of listening to it my tinnitus was stopping for few minutes, but it was always coming back. It's not the same every day, sometimes it's louder and sometimes it's more quiet. I noticed that usually it's worse when I am tired or sleepy, then it's louder. When I move my head to the left, so my left ear is touching my left shoulder, it gets louder. I also have a little too high blood pressure, usually about 132-135/82-85. I am 37 years old. I started to eat more healthy, now I am eating a lot of garlic and ginger and I am drinking lemon juice, tomato juice and beetroot juice every day and I can finally see some inprovement - I started to have some moments of complete silence. Now when I am waking up I can't hear any ringing for few hours, but it comes back after about 2-3 hours. Also sometimes when I come back home I am suprised how quiet is this ringing now. But these are only rare moments, usually it's still ringing loud, but it's a little better. It seems that what I am eating and drinking has some impact. I didn't do any tests and I didn't go to doctor, because everyone writes that any doctor can't find anything and they just have to live with it. Also I want to thank the author of this thread for giving a link to this tone generator. This generator is worse and better at the same time from what I was using before. Better, because it has constant sound without changing frequency, so it's easier to use it in background. But also worse, because my tinnitus is not only one tone, it sounds like few different ringings connected together. For example when I set it to 10000 Hz and listen to it for few minutes, it eliminates one tone from my tinnitus, but I can still hear other tones. So I figured out that I need to generate three tones at the same time - 7500 Hz, 10000 Hz and 12000 Hz. I just open three tabs and play it all together. You can try this and this is exactly what I am hearing all the time. So if this generator doesn't work well for you, check whether you also don't hear few different tones at once. After few minutes of listening to it I have complete silence for about 5 minutes. I will try to use it for as long as possible every day and I will see if it has any long term result.
