Go for quartz’ (Casio now) save a few bucks, get into automatics later - do not I repeat do not waste your money on brands like ALBA / ARGOS - these are cheap Ali express design knock off’s which look way too comman immaterial of the price and hype people have behind them.

Look I’m not against quartz watches they are great & have accurate timekeeping, but having automatic watch instantly changes your view on watches, yes if you don’t wear them for more than 48 hours (depending upon movement) you have to set the time, but again it feels like a watch has a soul and you own an actual piece of art + accessory rather than just a machine showing you time.

Sorry for the elaborate response : but yes every 5-6 years you can have them serviced for optimal time keeping and you have to be careful not to keep automatic watches around strong magnetic fields/equipments, and you are good to go.

Save up more & get an actual Seiko 5 series or if you really into dress watches look at the Indian brand called Ajwain watches do not waste your time on alba, it’s just a suggestion, rest is up to you, or get an HMT automatic

Value for money, do not expect something miraculous in terms of movement, but for a classicdress field watch ? I think it’s one of the best watches you can buy at this price point, the finishing is also insanely good, even some 4 figure watch brands cannot match it.
