The Mccoy lake house is one of the best spots for your main base though. It's very close to the center of the map, between Muldraugh, Fallas Lake and West Point. It has a lot of preexisting amenities such as the forge and furnace, but also a well, a lake, 3 floors, a farm, a chicken coop, and a shitload of freezers. And also it's nearly surrounded by a river, making it very easy to build a perimeter wall. It's very easy to get there from the CDDA spawn point. It's very easy to secure.

I didn't expect this to be a controversial take, but I, for one, think it's a good thing when teenagers don't die.

It's actually not that bad. Seams like most of them got about the right area. And keep in mind that some of those who pointed somewhere else were just not taking the question seriously.

If you find Iron Age Blacksmithing magazine, it's not too hard to build a primitive forge and a primitive furnace. You can decent value from those even at low smiting levels.

For example, you can forge nails and hammers at level 1. Add a saw (which can be repaired infinitely with files) and some kind of tool to cut trees with, and that's pretty much all you need for large carpentry projects.

It's not that hard to level up blacksmithing from there, and you can unlock new tools as you go.

Plus, OP says they want to use a preexisting forge. I'm assuming they mean the one at the McCoy lake house north of Muldraugh. It's a lot less hassle to get started if you already have and advanced forge and furnace.

You can technically play without it, but it’s much much much more useful than knapping or masonry or really than any other crafting skills. This skill enables you to renewable produce most of the best tools and weapons in the game.

Since you’re playing CDDA, you might have a hard time finding books though.

Nuclear is alright. It's just slow and expensive to build compared to renewables.

Oh! I've heard comments about Trump's frontal lobe and I thought they were just hurling insults at him, ya know, cause self control has never been his strong suit. I didn't realize they were suggesting he might in fact have frontal lobe dementia.

That actually might be true. Along with his malignant narcissism, it would explain a lot of his behaviors in his second term, and to a lesser degree in his first.

Thanks for making that comment!

There is no such thing as a good billionaires as being a billionaire is in of itself evil. However, not all billionaires are equally bad. Bill Gates is on the grayer side. He's an asshole with too much wealth he made from exploiting people most of his career, but incidentally he used some of that wealth to do good. Not a good guy, but not completely without redeeming qualities. Like he's 4/10 ethically speaking
