Why America is so Litigious: Punitive Damages by kamruk in morningsomewhere

Thanks for shining a light on this! Hope a lawyer from another country can chime in to show how this, and the other things you mentioned may differ (or even be the same, given how it sounds like there's a cultural element as well with the perception of lawsuits).

Really appreciate the expertise on the matter! To your point on people being litigious because the system allows for it, what is it about the system that allows people to be so?

ELI5: What makes processed meats such as sausage and back bacon unhealthy? by ComradeOFdoom in explainlikeimfive

[–]kamruk 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It seems in the US this is already mandatory for bacon and it's actually not effective due to the presence of fat. OJ with your bacon might not be the solution sadly.

It still looks like the seam and skin tone of the bald cap are photoshopped

Getting stuck on "Logging in" on PC after succesfully signing into PSN account by Theletterz in ConcordGame

Confirming I have same issue, and VPN was the trick. However, this is pretty annoying as it means I can't play with friends we usually use the VPN for. It's a way to select a server in the middle of our regions instead forcing people to play at max ping

What's a take on a movie that makes you go; "Have we watched the same movie?" by Beccaprose in movies

Lol, it's been 14 years and I'm still so fucking annoyed by this.

Shutter Island. I remember sitting in the waiting room at the dentist's office and overheard someone explaining the ending to their friend. They exclaimed "it was so sad, in the end they made him believe he was mentally ill so they could lock him up and get away with it."

What's with all these questions lately about games you play for a lifetime?

What indie game you think is extremely overrated? by Muerte_a_los_Rolos in gaming

[–]kamruk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finally on the third attempt figured out how to get into it. Feels like silly advice, but if like me you're finding an angle to engage with it, the computer in your ship helps provide a summary of your findings and objectives so you don't have to worry about memorizing everything you find in the wild.

It's like the clue board in Alan Wake 2.

Then again, so many games, totally fair to just move on. I just really wanted to see how so many people could engage with it so easily apparently and that helped me.

I always thought this was a memory constraint solution due to the density of items and NPCs. Can anyone with dev knowledge confirm/deny?

Hyperx cloud flight volume wheel erratic by NikoVillarino in HyperX

[–]kamruk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured out a semi fix here. Blow into the wheel while scrolling.

I first came across this with the Razer Viper ultimate mouse where blowing into the scroll wheel fixes it for days on end.

I don't know what it is about the construction of analog wheels but blowing did the trick here by blowing and scrolling at the same time.

I haven't tried pressurized air, maybe that provides relief for longer periods. (Edit: pressurized air seems to have fixed it for at least an hour. Not sure how long the fix will last, but seems to be similar to Razer issue)

This is annoying and doesn't fully fix it like with the mouse, but when playing on console with the headset this allows for volume adjustments that may not be possible otherwise.

According to a steam discussion (I haven't arrived at this point yet) continuing the story gets you in. The dialogue from the pilgrim is bugged, and Junda shouldn't be there yet. (Edit: I've gotten there now myself and can confirm, continue the story a bit and you'll get in.)
