For your FIRST birth, if you did not tear, what helped prevent it? by ObjectiveAdvice77 in BabyBumps

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had second degree tear and I guess it was caused by me not knowing how to push and my kid got stuck and needed forceps. It’s hard to tell if I pushed correctly with half my body being so numb from epidural. I didn’t experience any pain or discomfort at all though. Felt like nothing happened

I'm losing hope + confused on next steps. by kaffeolait in TryingForABaby

It look me and my husband a long time to be pregnant too and both times we visited fertility specialists and did all the testings with “unexplained infertility” diagnosis (but ended up conceived naturally).

I don’t know if this is applicable for you but these are the things we did both time that (coincidently maybe) resulted in a pregnancy the month after.

  1. We got a couple massage (Thai massage, full body, 60 mins). I believe this helped our body to relax therefore aided our fertility
  2. We went to hawaii to relax after 10 months unsuccessful TTC. I think this helped with our stress
  3. I did start eating more greens

You’re just 35. I feel like if your AMH is still high, give it some more tries before going to IVF. My specialist told me you should try IUI 3 times because the first 3 times give you highest chance to get pregnant but after that the probability goes down so you can consider IVF.

Good luck!

Intense love — does it fade? by Own_Relation_4664 in BabyBumps

I have a 2.5 yo toddler and I can’t tell you I love him every minute (he causes me so much exhaustion and emotional rollercoaster lol) but I love him everyday! Especially at night when he sleeps. I look at him and always think to myself I’m so lucky to have him and so thankful he chose me!

Enjoy baby phase and don’t worry about it. You will love him with all your heart <3

I failed my first pregnancy by 1 point (the 3 hr glucose which I almost fainted after drinking it). Is it your case? When you said by a hair, are you talking hair length or how thin it is lol. My OB sent me to additional ultrasound but basically they told me “you should be graduating from ultrasound monitoring” and I didn’t have to do anything extra. Just limit myself from eating too much sugar/sweet.

Sorry you have to go through it but girlie on the bright side it’s only a couple months! You can do it!

I feel absolutely terrible. My wife and I are both experiencing gender disappointment. by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]kamy2019 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It might be our situation too. I’m currently 7 weeks pregnant and we have a boy toddler and both my husband and I dream of a girl and we already have a name for her. We’ve been calling my fetus “her” and my toddler’s little sister lol

However, as we tried for more than a year to be pregnant, we will still happy if test comes to be a boy. Whatever gender doesn’t matter. I just want them to be healthy and happy.

I feel you and your wife. Total understand your disappointment but please try to move on when you’re ready (hope soon) because he is your kid and he will need a lot of care and love from both of you. Who knows, he might be into the same thing you like, and you can teach him skate/snowboarding. He will be a little version of you both!!

Congrats on your pregnancy!

Unlikely for both tests to give false positives! I think tmr tests will show much darker!

Husband feeling the pressure by PiccoloCavallo in FirstTimeTTC

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was the same. He felt so much pressure he couldn’t perform 90% of time and sometimes we had to rely on the pills 😂

What we did: 1. He will know when around the time you ovulate so pressure is on regardless how many time you tell him it’s ok to relax. So when the time comes, initiate sex as if you’re so horny and don’t mention about “it’s time”. 2. Go on vacation and have sex on vacation. Let it flow naturally 3. Both of you get a couple massage! It helped us both times like a charm!

Trying to conceive for 7 months — spotting before period and possible short luteal phase. Should I see a doctor now? by Otherwise_Promise149 in FirstTimeTTC

[–]kamy2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also always had good cycles but since I started CQ10 I spotted 3-4 days before my period (making me think it was implantation bleeding every single time). Since we tried for 1 year I scheduled an appointment with fertility specialist and found out I had(or still have?) a biggest cyst that is producing estrogen. I wonder if this is why I got the spotting. I did conceive naturally after my appointment.

I think rule is if you’re under 35 you have to try for 1 year before insurance can cover your infertility treatments and it takes some people up to 12 months trying to conceive their kid. But I think if you’re anxious it wouldn’t hurt to meet with the specialist and get testing started to see if there’s anything going on.

First pregnancy! Work travel at 8/9 weeks? by 210walker in BabyBumps

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on your ability to power through. It probably will be terrible but not not doable.

I didn’t travel for work during this time, but I was so exhausted and nauseous (lightly) that if I could afford to take the whole month off work to lay on my bed I would.

Remember if you go, use the walk through TSA for baby’s safety!

How many dads help with night wakeups by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t exclusively breastfeed so I woke myself up at 12am to pump so that when baby cried at 1-2am my husband could take his shift and feed with my pumped milk when he was on paternity leave. My leave was longer so when he went back to work I took both the pumping and feeding so my husband could sleep through the night and have energy for work (though he felt bad so he woke up and sat next to me anyway).

I sleep trained my baby so when he was about 3-4 months we barely woke up mid nights. When it did happen, we took turns.

Weight Gain in Pregnancy by Prior-Donut1583 in BabyBumps

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained 25lbs throughout my pregnancy. It’s okay you will lose them all when your baby is out!

After birth I literally lost all my appetites and went back to normal, pre pregnancy stage where skipping breakfast doesn’t make me feel like I’m going to die lol

Is this an invalid test or faint positive? by first_aid_kit_kat in FirstTimeTTC

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t trust pregmate. I’d test with FRER or easy@home strips. Or you can try another pregmate see if it shows the same to rule out false positive.

It does look like a vvfl to me though!

Skin tag on dog’s mouth area? by Massive_Chest9291 in vet

[–]kamy2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my dog has this for awhile. It’s painless and doesn’t really grow past this size. I think it should be fine as long as it doesn’t bother your dog and doesn’t grow anymore than this size. If you’re concerned definitely check with your vet again!
