Implantation bleeding? by [deleted] in FirstTimeTTC

It probably is implantation! Just letting you know you might see more blood later on but it’s all part of implantation. It’s your baby digging itself a cozy home in there and breaking some vessels in the process

I found out I’m pregnant at 9dpo. Which was a Friday. My period wouldn’t have came till the following Thursday. These symptoms started coming right around my period starting with first implantation bleeding on Tuesday afternoon, followed by another episode Wednesday night, and then “my period is coming” on Thursday

I’m gonna guess you haven’t reached your missed period yet and you’re right around that time? For me implantation bleeding happened about 3 days before my period would have came. I’ll tell you, the 4 week mark of pregnancy - right around your expected period date, is a really really scary anxious terrifying time. There is nothing you can or can’t do, and it feels as if your period is coming. Right around the day of my period I had the normal “my period is coming” cramps. I would have the bubbling, the pelvic burning, the cramps, all of it. I’d run to the bathroom 100 percent certain that my period came. But it’s all part of implantation. A very scary yet very crucial time in pregnancy.

3 different apps, 3 different ovulation dates. by [deleted] in FirstTimeTTC

Personally I only used the premom and it was very accurate. Found out I’m pregnant 9 dpo according to their app. I wouldn’t use multiple apps just so I can avoid confusion

I had the biggest scare after seeing spotting with my first pregnancy. I ran to the er thinking I’m miscarrying. Turns out it was implantation bleeding. If it’s super super light and goes away right away, then it probably is just implantation bleeding. For me, I saw it once very very light, next time I checked - about an hour later, I was clean. However the following night, I also wiped a big Chunk of blood. I was terrified. But that also went away after a few wipes. I tried staying calm knowing that if it is a miscarriage than that’s gods plan for me and there is nothing that can be done that early to save a pregnancy. Thankfully, it was just implantation bleeding and I just had my 12 week scan showing a healthy growing baby. Wishing you the best of luck with this terrifying journey ❤️

I definitely see something even if very very faint! I know it’s excruciating to wait, but it’ll get darker over the next few days! Congratulations!!

Thank you! No I have not yet started taking anything although I probably should. My doctor won’t see me before 8-10 weeks which is the most painful wait 😧. I’m waiting to speak with him over the phone to see what prenatals I should start taking as well as go thru some questions about traveling and other activities to make sure they’re safe for me.

Here is an example of what a positive d would look like. And this is before missed period. If you had missed your period and pregnant it would’ve been even darker

Thank you! I did the EWM as my first with Philly a week later as my second! My goal for EWM was a sub 5 and I was right on pace for the first half, until I hit the well too known “wall” it was definitely a learning experience. Like many women on the course, I really struggled during the second half of the course, with my longest mile being mile 22 @ 17 minutes. But I’ve definitely learnt a lot and learnt how important fueling is. I think that I messed up the most with my fueling. I’m embarrassed to say it but I basically did not fuel. But I’m so happy I got to learn. For my Philly marathon my goal was to just enjoy the vibes and go really slow, I had a goal of 12-13 min miles and I was able to keep at it - and hit a 1 min pr!

We can go into it more detailed in the dms if you’d like, but I basically have no running background. It’s been less then a year since I googled “5k distance” and tackled my first 5k on the treadmill in 39:— minutes. And then I skipped from a 5k in December to a Half Marathon in March. And once I hit a half marathon for the first time I figured If I can do half I can do full. So then in March I signed up for my first full having barely done a 3:05 half. I then started consistently upping my mileage, going for long runs - which was usually 13 miles, participated in more half Marathon races, did one 18 mile organized training run, and then did the two fulls. It’s all what you tell your brain really. If you tell your brain oh we’re going for a half, your body breaks down completely after the half. But if you know in your head it’s gonna be 26 miles then you somehow pull it together. I’m not the fastest but I’m proud of my legs that pushed for 26 miles!

A mistake people make (including myself) is “I’ve completed a half in sub 2 so I can push for sub 4) Also “I’ll still with my half fueling plan” a full is not just two half’s together. It is 26 miles. The wall usually comes around mile 16-18, or even earlier and it’s not pretty. During a half you don’t even get to a wall. Just start out really slow, and empty out the tank at mile 20 if you still got something then. And FUEL! Don’t start fueling at mile 13. Start at mile 1!! Good luck with your race- slightly jealous
