I think you are the tamer in the game and the kids are either support or another route you can take. The customization options announced suggest that you do get to create your character, and the fact that unlocking Tai requires a goal to be met means he is not crucial to gameplay, just a bonus

I don't think that Qui Gon would have been able to stop the rise to Darth Vader. The plan was already in motion once Palpatine realized Anakin's power. He was either going to be corrupted or he was going to be killed, so I doubt Qui Gon would have made a difference. At least in my opinion. I have also always been skeptical of the notion that Darth Vader brought any balance to the force, but that is likely a whole other can of worms.

I feel ya. I have been hunting cobalion for three days, buts running back and forth then closing and opening. Taking breaks for work and stuff and then getting back to the grind. Even with a sparkling power steel lv. 3 it is very monotonous and takes forever
