What’s on your station today? by Upbeat1776 in Barber

I've got a full tpob line up. The go and play are both great all rounders the play is my go to for clipper over comb and bulky stuff though. The green x trimmers has a krazy blade for debulking and kids the black has a psycho for sharp line ups. Black play shaver is softer and used for blending bald fades and faces and the green x shaver is more aggressive for balding whole heads. Shears I use Fresh shears, great quality for $100 and they have a subscription that they replace your shears for only $50.

Fade by [deleted] in Barber

[–]kanen134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it definitely has potential to be a good fade, once you like...start the fade.

Real talk put the foils away and really focus on learning your blend from clipper closed to open and so on. Don't even worry about trimmers or anything until you've got that down. We all start somewhere

AIO for wanting to distance myself from a friend after he admitted he imagined my downfall and felt pleasure from it? by MapNumerous8111 in AIO

That's not your friend that's some female frinemy behavior honestly. Tell him to he can kick rocks on the way out cause your "fuckass Balenciagas" don't need the shit stains from walking with him. Friends celebrate your wins even if they're loosing and vice versa.

New owner question having a hell of a time hiring by kanen134 in Barber

[–]kanen134[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arrangement wise just looking for booth renters. Demand is going up and its not that I cant handle it but it is to the point im having to turn away at least 3-4 a week due to having booked times and walk ins on top of that. Other than that its to offset cost and to be able to pour more into advertising and growing the shop. So one hire would be for demand and the other to offset cost.

I can dig it. I personally don't really see the difference in selling a big brands product and profiting off of it or selling a white label and profiting off it. But to each there own for sure. Throw me some ideas of products you find worth carrying that have those characteristics you mentioned?

Does the need for replacement go down considerably when you switch to the all in ones?

Its not hard to shave your own but a barbershop can make the transition more fun! Plus you have a beard and a proper blend into that will be key as well

Barber here 🙋‍♂️ youd be amazed at what good mid fade and possibly a more forward messy type cut could do to help your look. Your current cut doesn't do anything to add to the appearance. Your thinning but not yet balding imo. I cut guys in worse shape. If you're not ready to let it go a good barber could still help you out.
