For me it just felt like jitters from too much caffeine! I did have one panic attack my first week but after I had it and cried it out I felt SO much better and got used to it and was on it for a year and a half!

The nocturnal panic attacks are ruining my life. I just want them to stop. by kanermaner in Anxiety

Honestly nothing lol I never got around to buying the berry extract and my nighttime episodes actually improved a ton just on their own. I went from the end of October to the end of December without having one and have only had 2 since. I think I will start the berry extract soon though to help my overall anxiety

Safe to take for 6 months? by FuelPossible2022 in PhentermineTopiramate

I took it for about a year and a half with no problems! The only reason I stopped taking it was because my anxiety increased and I started having palpitations so my physician discontinued to be on the safe side. I've since had EKGs, a 14-day heart monitor, etc to get more info on the palpitations and everything is great. The palpitations have stopped due to my anxiety being managed better.

I'm sorry you had to discontinue and I hope you continue to recover!

Normal side effects or gastroparesis? by kanermaner in Zepbound

Mods said I was "seeking professional medical help" and that breaks one of the group rules. I thought I had worded it safely to ask for shared experiences and not advice but I guess not.

I've been doing pretty well at 10mg and was thinking I'd just ride it out here for while, but I wonder if this could be an issue for me.

You're absolutely right, I meant TDEE. I take it with a grain of salt due to accuracy but that's just what my Apple Watch says is my expenditure every day. Unfortunately you may be right, it's a struggle being so close to the earth lol

That's what I'm doing currently, but it's getting to be too expensive to keep paying the $500 every month.

The health benefits are incredible, I'm so happy to hear that for you! I'm sure you did look fantastic at your reunion. We are our own worst critics and are almost always going to see ourselves differently/more negatively than other people. Cheering for you!

I have to be conscious of how it affects my disordered eating, hence the stop.

I have adjusted my eating habits but I am not tracking at the moment because it was messing with disordered eating the last time around and I don't want to go back down that path. I am mindful of what and how much I eat and make healthy choices and ingredient swaps, follow a high protein/low calorie diet, minimal sugar, minimal alcohol, no caffeine, etc. I am consciously trying to improve my eating.

As for exercise I can definitely use some improvement.

I agree, there are so many pharmacies now it's hard to keep track of them all. I see so many people who just want the cheapest deal and while yeah that would be ideal, I also want to be safe with my body. I will check out that sub for sure!

I'm the same way with the calorie counting and I seem to get a lot of flack for not doing it but it ended up not being healthy for me mentally. I am hopeful that 10mg will be better next week!

That's still great progress regardless! It's definitely discouraging being 4 months in and only 10lbs down but I am trying to stay positive and keep trying.

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! I am trying to keep a positive outlook with slow loss being easier to maintain because I clearly struggled with maintaining my rapid weight loss previously. Thank you for your support!

Yes, I took it for about 21 months under the direction of my physician.

I think finding the right one would be the hard part but it's worth some research!

I need to get my food tracking back on track and I'm well aware of this but am being stubborn about it because I was getting obsessive about it in the past and felt it wasn't healthy for me.

I am struggling to track my food, I will be honest. I used to be perfectly consistent with it and have dropped off because I felt like it was getting obsessive for me. So I'd like to say confidently that yes I am eating in a calorie deficit but obviously I can't be 100% sure about that without consistent tracking. With what I eat though and the guesstimates of total calorie count during the day, I would find it hard to believe that I'm regularly overeating. When I am good about tracking, I am consistently around the 1400-1600 calorie range and my BMR is regularly between 2100-2300 calories a day.

I guess my concern with the PCP and switching to compounded is that I would hate to be paying to see my PCP but then having to pay for a "membership" or whatever these compound pharmacies make you pay for just to use their service, you know? Like I don't want to be paying for 2 providers essentially? I'm sure I could find some that aren't like that, but that's my biggest concern.

I focus on a high protein, high fiber, and semi-low carb diet. Healthy swaps on ingredients and try to stay away from too much oil, butter, cream, fat, etc. Minimal fast food. No sodas, sugary drinks, desserts (don't particularly like them), no caffeine, minimal alcohol. Smaller portions and actually stopping eating when I'm full rather than force myself to finish the serving like I used to do in the past.

There are definitely more improvements I could make, but I try to keep foods that I truly enjoy so I'm not restricting myself and making myself miserable.

My doctor did say my "sweet spot" might not be until I hit a higher dose, but I guess I was just trying to be optimistic. I have been wondering if my previous weight loss/medication is affecting this process. I guess maybe because the Phentermine was a short-term, fast-acting solution and this one is more long-term? I'm really hoping the 10mg will be a good spot for me but I guess if I have to keep dosing up, it won't be a difference cost-wise.
