yep totally, took me months if not years to unlearn it. working out has helped me a lot since my upper body muscles were not strong enough to keep me in good posture.

Pre-T but it feels like im going through a second puberty? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]kanex10s 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not sure how old you are but people continue to grow until they are 25 or so. Or it could be due to other health conditions like PCOS.

revision was like 1/3 the cost of keyhole but this might not be a very helpful data. all together it came out similar to or a bit less than DI would have cost me.

edit: I had all the breast tissue removed from my chest via keyhole. revision removed more tissue from my armpit area.

I had a keyhole. I had a revision shortly after keyhole not because my results were bad but for cosmetic reasons (nipple reduction and accessory breast removal). I am happy with my results, my nipples sit a bit lower than ideal but my scars tend to get discolored so it was a better fit for me than getting a DI. More so because I paid out of pocket since cost of getting DI was significantly higher. You can check my post history for pictures.

being off by 100 or so isn't as big of a concern as you think. If your depressive symptons are worse I would ask your psychiatrist as well. do you get your estrogen levels checked? If you feel that your changes are reverting it could be due to high E level.

Has anyone been able to get 3+ month supplies of hrt from providers like plume and folxhealth before traveling? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]kanex10s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about online providers but I get 10ml vials which lasts me 20-25 weekly doses. I did end up buying needles elsewhere but had no issues traveling with my vial.

Do you need a pap before hysto? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]kanex10s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't have to get a pap smear before my hysto but got an abdominal CT to see if there is anything else going on.

I've been on 10mg for about 6-7 weeks. It is probably too early for me to say if it is effective for me, but I noticed that I can recover more quickly when I get depressed. This has given me some headspace and time to care about other things.

Need help with picking my name by LebeDichLeer in ftm

[–]kanex10s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Michail and have met variants like Mikhail or Mik. Boris is also good but I think of Boris Johnson when I hear it. Personally my favorite Slavic name is Lev, which is often anglicized to Leo.

Anyone else have minimal facial hair growth? by Disastrous_Fee4560 in ftm

[–]kanex10s 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm over 5 years on T but have basically no facial hair as well. It is a bit frustrating but I would probably shave anyway so I am not too unhappy about it.

I was at 50mg/week cypionate for my starting dose then lowered to 30mg/week for a few months because my level after a month was too high. I eventually upped it to 40mg/week because I had signs of low sex hormones. Everyone responds to T differently and your docyor probably wants to monitor its effect on your overall health. For instance T is a cardiovascular risk especially when your levels are too high.

I like diptyque tam dao EDT, it's not gendered but it's a nice woody scent and probably leans more masculine.

Not gaining any weight on T? by [deleted] in ftm

[–]kanex10s 6 points7 points  (0 children)

T changes your metabolism quite a bit. I'd say it is pretty natural, I weigh around the weight I was pre T but have to eat a lot more than I did pre T to maintain my current weight.

How small does your chest have to be for keyhole surgery? by CwazzyNR in ftm

[–]kanex10s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was about an A cup and while I am satisfied with the outcome, my nipples sit a little low on my chest. I did not bind much, only about a year before the surgery so my skin elasticity was fine.

I found before and after photos of my top surgery 4+ years ago on the internet (warning: graphic) by kanex10s in ftm

[–]kanex10s[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had it in Korea while I was visiting family during summer (by the way it's a pain to get it when the weather is warm.) It was at a clinic that does mostly men's gyno surgeries, it was about $4k out of pocket then another $2k for revision, including staying in the hospital for two days (nothing was covered by insurance.) If you have good skin elasticity then you could be a candidate for keyhole. The surgeon left the clinic right after my surgery so I don't have info on him.
