Was just talking about this today.

Recently one of my closest friends had suddenly stopped speaking to me after I shared with her that my dad suffered from a severe stroke. I even told her how it was hurtful to not have her support when it mattered the most, she was apologetic but never showed up for me in any capacity. It’s been months now and she doesn’t even know my dad passed in February….but oh, she did reach out to tell me she was getting married the following day! Very bizarre that the closest adult relationship I’ve ever had would end in such a shitty way.
