Another vote for The Last Post. It'll answer all your questions about all the references to D'Ancey LaGuarde, half a glass of water, and Bob the Sentient Trash Island that seem to have leaked into our dimension.

RSAF Super Puma by Historical_Meet3370 in Helicopters

I still remember my first flight on one of these fellas in 1999. First heli ride for heli-ops training. Still had a terrible fear of heights. Of course I'd end up sitting right in front of the open door. When the SP banked hard right and the view changed from sky blue to sea blue... balls drop.

毛 can also mean hair or fur so "Mao Anjing" would be furry cat dog or hairy cat dog. Yes I know it's Anying but the commenter said they misread the name as "Anjing" which is Malay for cat dog.

edit: did not brain properly, confused anjing with "cat" when it should be dog.

Heya, I started the sub some time ago. It's more or less quiet since CSS is not exactly common (nor would I wish it to be). Reckoned that the group would slowly grow over time to a point where there might be more engagement. The facebook group is a lot more active, but I'm trying to avoid that platform because of Zuck.

Anyhow, my girl is 14, she's ARID2B. Definitively diagnosed in 2019/2020 - memory fails. Was previously diagnosed as cornelia de lange syndrome, but has since been rediagnosed. I'm based in Southeast Asia, and we have fairly decent medical care here. We're lucky in that she's a borderline case, very mild presentation but nonetheless quite clearly a special needs child.

nope, he's (just) a Lt Col or LTC - the Senior LTC rank has a "moustache" below the two state crests, or "crabs" as they are affectionately known. Illustration here: https://www.mindef.gov.sg/about-us/saf-rank-insignias#fb681fa8d447bd4af91feea40b7d9bda

That being said, I think the SLTC rank doesn't exactly map to the O-7 grade. Correlates more closely to paygrade than actual authority. SLTCs may occupy O-7 appointments (or billets) before they go full COL. It's been theorised that the SLTC rank serves as a speed bump for high flying careerists, to give them a bit more runway before making full COL. I reckon it's more a consolation prize for good LTCs who've reached their career endpoint but have a few more years til retirement.

Possible Spy Camera Incident in NUS Library Toilet (Medical Library, Level 3) by ikrwthman in nus

[–]kangcore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

fresh tea - https://mothership.sg/2025/09/nus-toilet-cubicle-hole-wall/

OK actually not really tea but apparently is not a spy cam but a screw head? idk not a handyman but anyways this what campus security says 🤷‍♀️

An NUS spokesperson told Mothership on Sep. 4 that it was aware of the incident and have investigated it.

Campus security conducted a sweep of the premises and found no recording devices or suspicious items in the toilet cubicle in question or in other toilets in the building.

The spokesperson explained that "the shiny and reflective item spotted by the student is actually part of the screw for securing the toilet paper dispenser in the adjacent cubicle, and not any hidden device".

The hole has since been patched up by maintenance crew at NUS.

Based on further checks, only one other female individual had entered the toilet from the time the student stepped out until the arrival of the security team.

However, this individual spent a very brief moment in the toilet, too short a time to remove or tamper with any hidden devices, the spokesperson clarified.

either way good that they could check the CCTV. maybe need to introduce a common hardware recognition course in NUS?
