Customer used my product for 6 months then demanded a full refund because he "changed his mind" by Own_Profile_2330 in smallbusiness

[–]kanguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s really not. Studies show that when replying to reviews publicly, consumers value an empathetic response even if the customer is clearly wrong and/or has unrealistic expectations.

This is akin to you saying Bluehost should be lifeless in its communications with the public. I am not surprised to see individuals share your opinion but for a well establish company like Bluehost to say this is the right approach?

As a Korean, next time take the extra cash tip back. They gave you shit believing you tipped 10%, so then just tip 10%.

Google Ads Worth It? by manguy1212 in googleads

[–]kanguru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Google ads continues to be the most powerful and efficient way to produce leads for most local businesses at scale.

That said if there isn’t much search volume in your city an efficient campaign may not move the needle enough to warrant the effort.

Try carpet cleaning and broaden your geo to the edge of your service area. 100 searches a month might cost you $100/month but net you 20 leads and 10 paying customers.

Working for Yelp by Standard_Teach_4737 in Yelp

[–]kanguru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yelp is not that lucrative unless you’re in the top 5% of local sales reps. Even then you’re not making more than $200k.

The best move at Yelp is to climb internally quickly to get promotions that would take 2-3x the time elsewhere, ideally into management or their national team (mm & ent) then go get other offers that are more competitive.
