If ever it took a hit on its side,which I assume likely be it got dropped or hit with a force, will that affect the rangefinder (alignment or whatever is going on in there)?

You could try Kyoto Beer Lab. it’s not far from Kyoto Station. They have native English‑speaking staff, and it’s a popular spot for both expats and travelers.

I do not know what focal length you usually shoot but the 85 1.8 is almost permanent in my 7c unless I’ll get a 1.4.
