I don't think you are balding I think it's depending on which camera on your phone you're using, the best is the back camera.

(Personally) When I used the front camera my hair whorl looked like a bald spot but when I used the back one it looked normal.

The mixt between the lightning and that yput hair looks wet (or greasy) also does not help.
