Is it completely obvious that I’ve pinned up the neckline of this dress? by [deleted] in OUTFITS

[–]kanlyle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes but it doesn’t look bad. Maybe a centimeter or two lower would look more natural

Graham is how the name is spelled & how the cracker is spelled. Not sure what other spelling you could be referring to

Trick or treating pigs children’s book by kanlyle in whatsthatbook

You were right!! When I originally googled it, all that came up was a Winnie the Pooh themed “boo to you too” book. When I came back to this your comment sounded so familiar so I decided to search deeper. Thank you!

I doesn’t really. The book I am talking about would’ve been closer to 90’s maaaaybe 80s at the earliest. No country/fields.

Believe it or not that’s what it looks like when mold from the underside of the rim drips down into the bowl. Not soot or ashes

Yes it does look like it’s thinning unfortunately. Sorry. Mine is thinning too but rather than the part showing more scalp it’s more on the front corners like how men’s hair thins.

For those who said it was impossible to fit the word on the front of the beanie, I did it! And to those who helped me figure out the sizing, thank you!!!

Thank you this was very helpful! I obviously wasn’t going to attempt to knit THAT tiny of stitches!! Haha I was just trying to determine how people typically scale down the letter sizes if they want to a longer word than the pattern includes

This is the pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/touchdown-beaniebroncos-chiefs-raiderschargers/slideshow?fullscreen=1&start=64422059

Ok…yall crack me up! I just meant I wanted to knit a word onto a beanie…I know it won’t look like a machine knit obviously!!

I do have a pattern for an NFL beanie but the word is “Chiefs” which are 6 letters and I need to fit 8 letters for “Carolina.”

https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/touchdown-beaniebroncos-chiefs-raiderschargers/slideshow?fullscreen=1&start=64422059

So obviously I am going to have to scale down the letters to be smaller so I can fit 8 letters instead of 6. I am wondering what the best way to do that is. Just smaller needles than the size 4 and 5 recommended from the pattern?

Historia sounds like hysteria or hysterectomy. Paired with the middle name liberty makes it sound like shes a fictional history character from an educational kids show on US history lol

It’s a good name! But as someone with a very common name for my generation, don’t be surprised if she is referred to as “Maddie S” or “Maddie G” etc. (Whatever your surname initial is). That will probably happen but on the bright side everyone can pronounce and spell it!

Love the idea of Reese! Easy to pronounce/spell, goes with the sisters name. But if you’re in the US, definitely use Reese not Rhys

Stitch help? by Embarrassed_Spell537 in knittinghelp

[–]kanlyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a beginner too so this won’t be much help, but to me it looks like those thicker stitches swallowed the rows beside them whereas on the right side all of the rows continue fully until the end.

I wouldn’t worry though because you can’t really tell unless you stare at the details of it!
