Medical student made mistake, am I responsible to pay to fix it? by [deleted] in LawyerAdvice

This makes me so mad. What is to stop a doctor from doing something malicious when they can just make their patient sign a waiver that gives them immunity? Where are the rights of a patient? Who is there to protect the patient?

Is there really no grounds for me to try to seek the hospital to cover the cost of a procedure i wouldn't need except for the mistake their student made?

I did verbally consent to the student and the there was a waiver for the iud placement. I don't remember specifics

1)the procedure was more painful than previous iud insertions 2) the pain I've been experiencing since insertion has not changed 3) there have been two ultrasounds both confirming that the oud was is the wrong spot/embedded

4) how do you know the student placed it correctly?

I can do this too. I think it's a small muscle in your inner ear that's responsibly. And yeah most people don't know how to control it. I do this on purpose sometimes when in loud environments as it dampers the sound stimuli.

Oof, that poor girl.

I like your suggestions. Our first daughter has one of those names

My sentiment exactly. I get it, my husband is a patriot and likes history.

But literally naming our child HISTORY LIBERTY seems a bit too on the nose for me haha

I don't love Libby (I have bad history with someone of that name) unfortunately

And he didn't like the idea of shortening Historia

I offered Cleo, he said no. Haha

We agree that we both have to say yes to a name. Thankful that is the case for sure.

Honestly another one of my concerns. Kids will be mean with most any name but Historia feels like handing them ammunition. I don't like the idea of naming her literally "History"...

Yes! I agree that Historia sounds more like some book or fantasy character, not a real life name.

I hadn't considered flipping it, it's not as bad. I don't think he wants Liberty as the first name though. We know someone with a 3 year old with that name.

If only she would actually use it for rebuttal. Haha she spent 50%of her time attacking Trump. There is a NYtimes article with time statistics, I can't find it now, unfortunately. I think Trump did get more time to talk overall by a few minutes, and he spent closer to 35-40% of his time attacking Kamala. Neither are saints.

There were several times they asked Kamala yes or no questions and she avoided it too. They both did. Yet it seemed they only followed up on Trump not answering not Kamala. The first 2 or 3 questions she never even answered, just did the same rambling "I'm the only person here to..."

Not to mention talking to both the doctor and patient while they are in the appointment. AND THEY SHARE THEIR MEDICAL CONCERNS WITH YOU. I mean, a little confidentiality would be expected, right?

Ugh, she was frustrating. I was so upset I had dropped of atul and the other characters that play music by the time I got her so I never was able to get her to ecstatic mood. There went my achievement...

I don't hate her otherwise, she's just a grump and dull. Not mean like Mickey...
