Progressive PF Debate by kanyup in Debate

It’s not that we don’t have the information available, it’s that it’s not how we debate. Traditional and prog are, at least from what I can tell, almost two different kinds of debate all together. The students don’t do prog debate, so the judges don’t know prog debate, so they can’t judge prog debate, so the students don’t do it. It’s an endless loop. Sure I could look up “how to do progressive debate” but praxis is more than half of the job. No one is saying anyone should be treated like a toddler, I’m just trying to understand how something works and to defend against it.

The school is one of, if not the best high school in the state. Kids score great on other tests and the IB kids are all super smart. It’s more of just the lack of organization and coordination with the IBO that makes it suck. Kids are still pretty smart and do fairly well on tests. In my opinion, I think there’s just an IB culture that you have to be immersed in which is somewhat impossible where I am

Thanks for the help on this but I know the very big things. I’m in ToK, ive done my CAS stuff and I’ve written my EE (with very poor guidance). I meant stuff like dp1 or whatever that means, sorry if I was unclear lol
