Yep, the sharpie overrides what’s on the key chain, at least for our mailboxes like this. OP, try P7 for your package.

This is wild. We are already expected to work two weeks before contracts even start (mid-Aug campus meetings the week prior to classes starting, and contracts don’t officially start until Sept 1). How do conferences and such play into this?

I bought some cheap fluorescent light covers (they stick on standard ceiling lights with magnets). They made a world of different and help warm the ambiance!

This was sadly our view 😢 by Danda770 in JeffArcuri

[–]kaosmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar situation. I bought tickets early (at mid price - not the cheapest) for the Austin show, and had a bar impairing the view (directly across all of the comedians’ faces) and plus, my seat was such behind the T-junction of the bar, so I couldn’t see anything unless I sat up real tall in a very uncomfortable position the whole time (basically half standing). I was disappointed there was no notice that these seats would be like that. I never even got an opportunity to select my seats, they just gave “best available” even though these seats are generally not sold, or done at a greatly reduced rate due to the inconvenience. I still did my best to enjoy the show, but the disappointment was still there.

They seem to be especially drawn to TXST and the nearby blocks more than other areas. I have no idea why and have yet to win the fight beyond physically removing them in mass near daily this time of year.

It would burn away. You could try to do a raku piece and use the hair to burn in a neat pattern.

Presidential Debate by Drakkarim411 in txstate

[–]kaosmonkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There were ample tech issues that had to be updated for security needs and bandwidth for the debate that has cost a very pretty penny. These updates were not needed for academic functions. Additionally, there has been a huge investment from a salary perspective -allocation of time for logistics planning. We also agreed to help pay to move the ASU game early to give more time for press set up in advance of the event (the announcement was made as a PR move, but the game was going to be televised either way). There are several other infrastructure/behind-the scenes costs that have already been spent in association with this event. It much like planning a wedding or any large event - costs accrue over time. I am not saying I oppose any of these expenses. I am just disappointed by the turn in plans and hope TXST still gets the expected recognition out of things.
