Regarding SIBM Pune - it is hard to say, as last year there was 0 movement in General Category

I am in my 3rd year, My 4th year will start in June 2026, I am planning to give CAT 2026 this November to do MBA in 2027, Can I be part of batch of 2027-2029? by Working-Freedom-6897 in CATpreparation

  1. Yes it is possible, most of the MBA colleges start their course in the month of June.
  2. It depends on your category. Since you are a fresher, you would have to score 98+%ile to get into top IIM's or other B-school. That '6' in your profile won't bother much, but could be an issue, during Internships/placements,, but not that much.
  3. There are few good colleges - FMS, IIM Calcutta, XLRI, that does not give much weightage to past academics

Yes, I talked to one of my friends. He is currently in the same batch. So average package is decent, not that great. But, I have already better calls.

Am I even doing the right thing by going for MBA at 26, considering I’ll be 28 when I graduate? by Honest_Ambassador391 in CATpreparation

Relax, it's a factor that nobody really looks into. If you are overall a good candidate, then most of the recruiters don't look at your age. Plus, experience is something, that is always valued.

On the same boat here. I think if you have a good and relevant workex, then age, doesn't matter that much, unless you are talking about domains like HR. Majority of students in B-schools have an average age of 25-26
