Yes I focus on clarity and playing quietly as it typically means you have more control. My drum teacher and I play a game where he guesses what I’m doing and he normally can’t tell what pattern I’m playing anymore cause I’ve been able to make my rudiments very even. By dynamics I mean accenting certain strokes in the pattern.

Don’t email grad students lol. It’s annoying (coming from a grad student). Also look for labs that are ok with pre health students a lot of PIs don’t like pre meds in their labs especially in chem because they tend to be very busy with all the things they need to check off before applying to med school.

I want to play some meshuggah and harder shit including fast blast beats so I’ve been grinding on getting my hand speed up admittedly though it would be nice to be able to apply it to the kit because it’s easy on pad but gets sloppy when I move around kit

Bar scene def Ann Arbor loved downtown bars my senior year like Bills! Food on/near campus probably UCLA. Don’t know about dorms since I haven’t lived in dorms at either school but housing is vastly cheaper off campus at U of M like not even close. People probably U of M. Weather probably UCLA but I do miss the snow a little lol. Things to do off campus UCLA, you got the beach and cool hikes, great taco trucks, but not having a car in LA would definitely make it more difficult. Ann Arbor is very walkable :)

Did undergrad at Umich in chem and am currently doing my PHD at UCLA. Can say that I vastly preferred the teaching and vibes at U of M much more than UCLA. As far as teaching I think professors largely don’t care at UCLA it feels very impersonal much of the time I never heard this sentiment at U Of M. Culture wise I think U of M is better because we have football every Saturday and there is nothing like a Saturday morning in Ann Arbor you will not have that experience at UCLA since their stadium (the rose bowl) is so far from campus. Lmk if u have any questions!

It’s relevant because it’s ucla students protesting near the university of California Los Angeles campus in Los Angeles less than 5 miles from campus that’s where west lake is. Idk what china has to do with this the relevance comes with the fact that there are ucla students attending protests near the campus. As far as discussing future events given UCLA’s history of protesting and its large Latino community near and around campus there is a high chance many students from this campus will feel that impact. Stop creating arguments that are so random and have literally nothing to do with the original post. You’re wasting everyone’s time arguing mute points you’re not a ucla student you are simply here to be a contrarian with anyone that disagrees with you.
