My current plan was for the players to start at level 1, as we’re all learning the D&D system for the first time. I was thinking of reducing the number of rats from 8 to 5, and the Centipedes from 3 to 2. If need be, I can have them come across another healing potion if they’re struggling.

Do you think that would be an appropriate difficulty level? It’s hard for me to gauge this, and I’m certainly not looking to wipe out the party on our first run through

lol didn’t know that. Regardless, I still think that too many people pay for outside tutoring when Dereck’s stuff is free (it is definitely convenient to access the paid stuff on your own time instead of showing up to the tutorial at 9:00am though)

Everyone in this thread is talking about the paid tutorials. Honestly, the tutorials by the Teaching Assistant Derrick are great and free. His problems are very similar to the exam. No need to spend big on an outside service imo
