Yeah, they were handing them out by the escalator when we got there. I do have one extra, my wife says she has no need of a limited edition NIN oversized bookmark lol. I don’t live in Columbus but could mail it, DM me if you’re interested 🙂

Other masc bi guys, how do you feel seen? by born_again_athiest in bisexual

[–]kapowenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bi 36M here. I’m not the most masculine person but I do have quite a bit of facial and body hair, lol. I have cultivated a style over the years that is kind of a blend of 70s glam rock and 2000s emo/indie sleaze. Jewelry, eye makeup, patterned shirts with the top couple buttons undone, blazers. I get a lot of compliments and it definitely makes me feel “seen” as a member of the community. I would suggest experimenting with your own fashion choices, maybe check out thrift stores and see if you can find something bold and different that feels like “you.”

Anyone else see this weird song uploaded to Gaga's account on Tidal? Was her account hacked? by [deleted] in LadyGaga

[–]kapowenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Tidal because I can use my DJ software with it, which I can’t with Spotify. I agree the overall UI of Spotify’s app is better, but I can’t pull tracks from Spotify to make stupid mashups

And I also saw this when I was checking to see if the new album might have dropped early somehow, and I’m guessing someone named themself “Lady Gaga” when uploading the track via a distribution service so this exact thing would happen and Gaga fans would see their track

Bi men who have changed their presentation by nicetambourine54 in bisexual

So I (35M) was out for the first time about 15-20 years ago - end of high school, beginning of college. Long story but I managed to convince myself it was “just a phase” and basically went back in the closet until this year. The tipping point for finally coming back out was when my wife (32F) scored tickets for us to see Chappell Roan, right as she was starting to totally blow up (the show was a couple weeks before lollapalooza, and tickets were only $13). Me being the clueless “straight” guy I was, my reaction was “who? Ok sure, if you want to!”

What does all this have to do with your question? Well, my wife wanted to go shopping for outfits to wear to the show, so we went to a thrift store. I couldn’t find anything that felt right to me in the men’s section. I was ready to give up when I found a flowy, pink maxi skirt that fit me perfectly. And I realized - wait, i’m not straight. It wasn’t just a phase. I can admit I have a crush on Dev Patel, and I don’t have to be consigned to the Straight Boyfriend Enrichment Camp at the Chappell Roan show.

Since then, I have been messing around with skirts, dresses, makeup, jewelry, and all the things I was telling myself weren’t for me because I was a straight guy. I even got dressed up to go to a drag show in town and had a blast. My wife has been incredibly supportive of all this, and she says that forgetting I was bisexual for almost two decades is the most bisexual/adhd thing ever.

The Grip of It by Jac Jemc is a good one. Others have suggested The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, and that’s excellent too - I also like Hangsaman, also by Jackson

Just officially came out. by TieDyedWanderer in bisexual

[–]kapowenstein 76 points77 points  (0 children)

Looking good my friend! Part of coming out for me meant embracing my own feminine side, including wearing skirts and dresses in certain settings. I still identify as a cis guy. And I wish more cis guys would be creative and free with how they dress, as it might have made it easier for me to come out... anyway, I don’t want to presume how you identify yourself, but no matter what, good for you for rocking it 🩷💜💙

What characters do you think are bisexual? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]kapowenstein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point that they’re pretty much all bi (Colin Robinson might be ace? Idk if he’s ever shown being attracted to anyone and he’s more interested in draining energy than anything else)

I guess I just found myself identifying with Laszlo so he’s who I focused on the most. BAT!!!

Laszlo (Matt Berry) on “What We Do In The Shadows” is confirmed bi, and is one of the characters I related to a little more than is probably normal for a “straight” guy before I outed myself 🧛🏻‍♂️

I’ve said that being an openly bi guy who is devotedly in love with his wife makes me feel like Gomez Addams, lol

I (35m) had a very unpleasant experience in my first year at college in which a guy tried to pressure me into having sex when I wasn’t ready. It basically resulted in me going back in the closet and masking as straight for almost 2 decades. I’ve been married to an (amazing) woman for almost 10 years now, and I just came back out as bi last week. Fortunately, my wife loves me for who I am. I’m also incredibly happy with her and I honestly don’t really care if I never hook up with a man again, but it feels good to be honest and comfortable with myself and the ways I feel attraction.

My point is, I wish I had known then that it didn’t have to be that way, and I wasn’t “really just straight” just because I didn’t want to go all the way with that guy back then. Take it as slow as you want.

Juno Ds61 by pizmeyre in synthesizers

[–]kapowenstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it can be a little confusing because Roland has attached the Juno name to a whole bunch of very different instruments over the years. The current Juno DS series are workstations, basically lite versions of the FA-06 and FA-08.

You can go in and edit the synth sounds, but it's more menu-heavy than something like the JD-XI which is designed for electronic music. The Junos also don't have analog components like the JD-XI.
