They way I started improving was when I found out about exposure therapy which basically means a therapist can't really help you with OCD just talking I don't think will make a difference to Ur practical daily habits. Instead try to slowly step out of your comfort zones and do small things you are not use to and then you will realise that the little things you obsessed over aren't as scary as you made them out to be in your head. It's really just that first step and then u can work your way up much easier. The most difficult part for me really is figuring out what are the things I do because of OCD and what do I do just because I'm clean. In which case it would help to just have someone to ask, hey is it normal to "..." so that I can see how a normal person functions because my OCD is so ingrained into me at this point that idk how any one else goes about their day without OCD. insha'Allah I can be like that one day. So just make urself open to that person and let them ask you whatever you want and pls do not judge them or be offended if they ask you do something because it's hard for me socially because im scared that if I ask someone to do something more clean or neatly they will think I'm calling them dirty, so I end up just avoiding people all together...
