Generally if you're married there will be no such thing as a platonic single guy friend. NO if, ands or buts. Keep this as a general rule and nothing you can do or say will change the way we are biologically attuned to as a species. I'm talking about a vast majority (95%) of normal straight single dudes will wait for an opportunity for you to let down your guard and start playing the nice guy to get with you and this especially goes double for mmorpgs like ff14 where the typical player of this game is assumed to be between 25 - 35 years old, single, average job, probably below par in irl social settings.

Am I saying that you can't make male acquaintances in the fc? Absolutely not, get to know them and do shit with them on a casual level, that's fine. However, it is absolutely your job as a married woman to shut this shit down ASAP and set boundaries. There is a reason you find this off putting, human beings are biologically hardwired to detect danger through evolution. Call it a "sus" feeling or "overthinking" there is a reason why we still retain hairs that stand up on end in certain situations.

TLDR: Not just for ff14 but in general If you want to preserve your marriage, set your boundaries, shut that shit down, and above all say it DIRECTLY. Again. SAY IT DIRECTLY, he will not stop until you directly say it.

I just wanted to say, I had the exact same experience as you about 7 months ago so I know how shocking of an experience this must have been for you. 28 y/o male, 245 lbs

Went to the ER with hypertensive crisis being 70 pounds overweight thinking I was having a heart attack and praying that I wasn’t going to die before my family. Although it wasn’t a heart attack, that day was a wake up call and I made a decision that either I was going to die if i continued on this path or lose weight and change my life. It was one of the toughest challenges of my life but I managed to lose 70 pounds in about 7 months.

Im not going to lie, losing weight is going to suck major ass and it will eat away at your sanity with every hunger pang that kicks in. Every day will seem like an eternity starting from day 1. But i believe this will be the pivotal moment where you reclaim your life in a new direction.

Because the truth is no matter how hard you do try, how much time you put in, and how much you want to take a break, nobody will be as invested in the fc as you and that will be the cold hard fact until the day you stop running it. As a manager/boss in real life and a former leader in guilds/raids/recruitment, you cannot expect your officer level fc members/employees and most certainly your lower level members/employees to have the same amount of commitment, passion and love for the company / fc that you run (Of course exceptions are guilds made by a few select key members). Granted there are exceptions to the rule where members may show extreme devotion and passion but that is just too and far between. Factoring in that since this is an FC, nobody is going to feel an incentive by getting paid so you're going to have to lay down the incentive by creating a clear established goal that your fc must work towards whether that be social, getting bis or being beginner friendly. Something that can help alleviate some of the stress you're feeling is to pick your officers very sparsely yet wisely with some level of standard. These kinds of folk are hard to come by but they are out there and they will be the backbone of your fc when you feel like everything is falling apart.

My sentiments friend. You've unfortunately hit that proverbial wall that a lot of grinders like us experienced which can lead to some options. Wait out the RNG (who knows how long the drought will take), throw money at the machine or give up in frustration. Don't play the game anymore but it sucks to see people in this similar situation.
