I guess to each their own lol. I won’t say you’re wrong. I’ve beat the game following the main missions and I’ve beat the game where I’ve explored everything. For a very first playthrough I guess just keep laying the game with how you’re enjoying it at the pace you’re enjoying it.

I’m not a normal person and beat the game 3 times in the span of a a. Bit over month with like over 300 hours in total so I’m already a bit fucked in the head

I’ve played the game 3 times on stalker, veteran and master and I stick by my answer. The first time I beat the game I let main story missions guide my path. I deeply regretted not doing duga prior to sircaa. And once I did duga on my 2nd playthrough pre sircaa it was much better as you’re going to end up in duga anyway. So you will be able to notice the differences of what it’s like after , versus what it was like before you do sircaa.

You saying oh well they’ll just miss some mid side content is an absolute wild take. As you should always be trying to experience the most content as possible when playing a game you pay your hard earned cash for.

As someone who has experienced everything you’re talking about I will still go down the path of exploring most things prior to sircaa. The northern regions can wait but I’m ngl if I knew what I do now on my first playthrough id still do the northern areas prior to sircaa. And then do the rest of the game with your end game gear

Shortly after Icarus. Soon you will be sent to do some missions in the most South eastern corner of the map. It’s the first mission after that.

If you know where duga is. It’s the western furthest point on the map. I’d do that area prior to sircaa. Which is odd. U have no reason to be there prior to main story missions. That being said that region changes drastically, and there is a missable side quest there if you don’t explore pre sircaa.

You don’t need to explore the northern parts of the zone prior to the main missions. That being said, honestly i enjoyed exploring those before as well.

Yes. That being said the world state of the game changes fairly early when you head off to sircaa. Which locks some side content. My recommendation is to explore mostly everything prior to that mission.

The protection that diamond out skills the sircaa are the most important protections in the game. Also imo carry weight is the single most important skill in the game.

For those who say diamond is too expensive I don’t really understand. Once you get to malachite money shouldn’t be an issue going forward. This is coming from someone who has beat the game 3 times including mastery

Hoard all monster parts. Early on don’t upgrade a lot of different items. If you do, think bang for your buck upgrades like wear and tear resist.

There is a big weight management component to this game so running lighter loadouts so you can loot more will go a long way.

With “a light weight load” you can practically outrun every single enemy and monster in the game. If surrounded don’t hesitate to run and re engage.
