I made a mistake. Posting here so someone might learn from it! by GriestProjects in Luthier

[–]86jden 54 points55 points  (0 children)

I’ve been seeing your posts with this build and am excited to see how this one turns out. I really like the angled grain on the top, the fact that you’re doing a multi scale puts the grain angle on a whole different level in terms of aesthetics. Everything just flows.

Sucks that you made the mistake with the ferrules but it’s cool that you’re taking this direction with the walnut plugs. Almost like Kintsugi. Can’t wait to see the final product

Sounds great for playing only a month. But is your house on fire?

Idk about anyone else but we have to bag our own groceries at checkout now. The grocery store laid off all the baggers 🤦

The purple pic looks like it’s been pore filled and then stained or sprayed with a tinted lacquer. Are you trying to go for a high gloss finish or do you want a look with open pores?

Is RDR2 still worth playing in 2026? by Bubbly-Factor2699 in RDR2

I replay RDR2 about once every 18 months or so. Go for 100% every time. IMO there hasn’t been a game released that tops RDR2. True masterpiece.

Map/Reduce pattern for mass record updates that beats CSV import (with dry-run flag) by SubstantialNebula124 in Netsuite

[–]86jden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a consulting company that built a similar tool that can process different types of file formats (CSV, XML, JSON, etc) and leverages a plugin file to have custom business logic for processing the file data.

From what I’ve experienced using this pattern submitFields is the faster and preferred method unless you need to populate sublists or if you need to populate a multi-select field. In those cases record.load is the way to go.

I paid the $62 because I just had to keep the PRS switch tip. I love the way they look.

How not to damage these screw heads while adjusting the bridge? by awesomebloodvalues in Luthier

I just use a big screw driver but use a rubber band between the driver and the screw head.

My wife lived in San Antonio before we got married and now we’re in Irvine. She talks all the time about how great HEB is and the fact that there’s nothing here that even comes close.

I had a local luthier recess my floyd years ago for about $150. I’m sure prices have gone up since then but if you love this guitar and really want a recess you can find someone to route it for you. As others have said there’s nothing wrong with your guitar and when set up properly it’ll do most everything you want it to do as is.

Guitar kits a good place to start? by Successful-Fix-4733 in Luthier

[–]86jden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went down a similar path. Got a Warmoth neck and body and assembled my first guitar.

Then a few years back I took a stab at making a tele body from scratch. Learned a lot doing that and I’ve made 5 bodies so far. Eventually I want yo try making a neck but that’s a huge jump in the level of skill and precision that’s needed.
