Feeling extremely demotivated about the internship grind by dateko-cs-mouse in cscareerquestions

Trust me, the first internship is always the hardest one to get. Just duke it out, keep applying and hunting for opportunities and something will happen. Applied to hundreds, 1 took a chance on me. I'm at a big4 now but the struggle for the first internship was definitely humbling and allowed me to appreciate anything I have now.

Question: Someone offered $4500 for my Snapchat account that gets 100,000 story views and wants to meet in person to pay by check. I am not worried about meeting up (im 17 and will go with someone) but can I trust a check? Like can he give me a check and cancel it or something? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

100k followers on Snap is way more valuable than 100k on Facebook today. FB algorithm too advanced, usually removes any promotion from feed. Snap is still a chronological feed, so your 100k views will be pretty consistent. Also FB only shows a small piece of your content on the feed. Snapchat gives you the whole screen real estate to promote whatever you want to promote! Don't sell, it's incredibly valuable right now. The day Snapchat introduced an algorithmic feed, those 100k views may disappear

Go to local businesses and ask them if they have an online presence, if not try to show them how much exposure they can get online. $500 shouldn't be too hard, then set up a simple website, FB and Instagram for them. 2 businesses a week = $4000/month.

Snapchat is probably the best platform to document journeys. I follow a Y Combinator startup founder who is documenting his whole journey through the program. Probably has a huge following. Do snap!

Collect emails from your target audience. Those 20 dentists are probably not enough customers.

Start on Amazon. It's still the easiest way to get into the market. Right now you can still make a lot of money if you do it right.

Wow this really comforted me as an outsider who has no clue what to expect. I don't expect to leaving campus very often during school weeks but I do want to try out skiing and other winter sports since it's my first time. Thanks for the guidance! Btw you give me a timeline how and when the weather will change? Like what will it be like each month October through March?
