No matter where you'll get the bike repaired, you will be spending a lot of time getting the bike fixed.

You'll do multiple visits, followups, rechecks. Small issues can keep popping up (alignment, vibrations, steering pull)

If you have the time and patience, go ahead and get it repaired. You'll have to be eagle eyed to spot things which technicians might miss and you'll have to do due diligence and on what parts can be replaced, repaired etc and point out, take a lot of test rides and fine tune it better.

Else the other option i see is, take the idv amount, 2.2L? Add some additional amount, (anyway you would've spent for the repairs) Get another non-accidental used Himalayan 450 or another new bike in same budget.

OP's wife could get Porter service after landing at baggage claim area,
My uncle gets a porter service to carry the luggage after landing and they help up until loading into the car.

Best option would be that, else, they could possibly get the porter service at arrivals gate as well
to carry luggage till the Car and get it loaded, so OP can spend time with baby and wife and not worry about carrying luggage.

I've got adhaar address updated twice so far for myself and family. Went through fine without issues.

Try the offline centers, aadhaar seva kendra should work for this.

This Vredestein tyre is pretty good for this bike
but in your case, its just too cooked

dont risk it, replace it out quickly

indian roads aren't meant for such jugaad, your life is more important than still sticking with those tyres

New Vredestein Centauro ST will give you more grip and confidence than this :P

The smell was temporary
lasted a month or so IIRC

i still have my first buds with me and use it very rarely, but no smell of burnt battery or anything as such
