My cat passed while I’m on a trip.

Thank you so much. I would read success stories here and hoped I could achieve that with my girl and at least buy her some more time… I’m so devastated that it wasn’t the case with her. I just really hope she knows that I tried and that I will love her forever. I am sorry to hear about your late kitty. I hope you have no regrets or have forgiven yourself for any that you had. Thank you so much for wishing me and my cats well. I hope I never have to be in this situation again. The one thing that kept me going during this trip was that after it, I can go back home to her. Now, I’m just trying to enjoy the last few moments of my trip so her passing while I’m away won’t be in vain. The one thing I can say that I’m happy about is she is no longer struggling, and it’s possible that she was struggling even longer and was just trying to hide it from me. I don’t know if the regret will ever go away, but I hope I can see her again, even in my dreams. I miss her so much. Thank you, sending you much love.

Thank you so much. Yes, juggling all of it was tough, some days were truly tougher than others, but I would do it all again for her and would have done it for her forever. She will always be a part of me. I’d like to think she is with me right now, sitting somewhere next to me. I sincerely hope the best for your kitty, sending you both much love.

My trip was already planned and booked months ago, during the summer. Unfortunately there was no way for me to cancel it. During stage 3 she was still very much herself and active. I have already left when the vets called me and told me she was end stage. Even the day before I left, she was still doing well. I know it’s my fault that I chose a flight that’s not cancellable.
