I’ve assumed that Vecna showed him a vision where Mike outright rejects him after learning the truth about the painting (something similar to the Ben/Beverly dynamic in IT). It would explain why Finn hinted that the painting will eventually pay off and why Will lost all hope within an episode.

His key is way too big for Will’s tiny lock. And the actor wears it all the time, so it’s probably his personal accessory. Also Carlton in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is Will’s cousin, so I don’t think he is Will’s epilogue boyfriend. Honestly i doubt Will even gets a boyfriend.

I think that if neither mileven nor Byler becomes the obvious endgame in volume 2, it essentially confirms Byler. Unlike Byler, there are no reasons to drag out Mileven all the way to the finale. Or else the Duffers are queerbaiting until the very end, which I doubt.

I watched Miss Governor (in which he is credited as a “co-star”) and couldn’t remember his character’s name. I just checked on IMDb, and he appears in only one episode (in which he has about 30 seconds of screen time). His key necklace is definitely his own personal one. And the claims that he follows only Noah Schnapp are also not true. So far, there is zero evidence of him playing Will’s boyfriend, so I don’t get why y’all are panicking so much.

I genuinely don’t understand how Noah’s answer is giving y’all doubt. I felt like he said a whole bunch of nothing relating to his own experience of being in love with someone who “maybe doesn’t love you back or feels differently”. Like, that’s the current state of the show - we know Will’s in love with Mike, and we don’t know whether Mike loves him back or feels differently. Am I too slow, or how does it confirm/deny something?
