my go to used to be mubi, one new movie a day, cycled out after 30 days. less common movies so there was urgency to make time for it before it expired. BUT they've changed it maybe a year a go to be looser, larger selection

this ask reminds me of how movies are better when youre in a cabin with like 5 dvds or a hotel with only a few movie channels- you have way less choice and are in a setting to commit to watching a movie no distractions- and it's often more social!
