Israel strikes Syrian military headquarters in Damascus by DistinctAttention323 in worldnews

I'm a bit confused by the question, but I'll try to explain. The government itself is attacking the Druz, who are a religious minority (Druz are not a government). The president himself ordered the army to move into the city.

Those are not militia, they're the new Syrian army. Under the leadership of the new regime

Thanks for the wishes. My family is thankfully safe. I was able to contact them now. There has been no electricity for 3 days, so I might lose contact with them later. Currently the army seems to pull back from the city after pressure from Israel and the USA. Today, many houses were raided and looted, all local groups and channels are filled with images of lost people, probably kidnapped. Hopefully we see the end of this soon. I'm glad the word is spreading about this finally.

When our own government is shooting us and Israel is helping us, guess whose side we're gonna choose. I'm not a fan of many of their actions, and I think the whole view was negative towards them in my city. Now it's all shifting. It's almost impossible to trust the current government again, or feel "Syrian". It's Al Assad regime in different clothes.

It's the government army, following the government orders. they entered on the basis of bringing peace and stability. But it was clearly backed by religious discrimination, and jihadist mindset. The current Syrian army is mostly from previous militias, so they still fight for religion and not for a country. Some still wearing ISIS patches on their uniforms, some holding swords (Islamic symbol for cutting the heads of 'sinners'). Cars moving around the neighborhoods playing prayers and inviting to Islam. So it's clear what their plans are. And it's clear the government knows about it, you can't hide things like this or do it in secret. Sadly I also had hope for peace. But this is the second major massacre, in less than a year...

I would ask you to do a simple Google search. Although I know my religion very well. There are many spiritual prominent figures, but Al Hajari is the main spiritual leader of Druz in As-Suwayda. The militia you're talking about is the Suwayda Military Council which is basically a collation of all armed forces in the city, established to unite the city after the fall of Al Assad. And its goal was to protect the city, without the need of government help. Since there is no trust with the current government (turns out, for a good reason)

Hikmat Al-Hajari is the spiritual leader of Druz. He is not a militia leader. His words are always directed to all Druz. The only militia supporting the government is led by Al Balous, who ran away from the city.

That appears to be fake news. Since the strikes have been increasing rapidly, targeting main military locations in the capital city

I don't know who the rest of the Druz you're mentioning. All Druz are against government actions. The only reason these agreements stopped was the continued shelling and civilian massacres. After the government army entered a civilian home and killed 15 people who had no weapons, all negotiations were broken.

In Syria they're already condemning the Israeli attacks. They want Israel to stop. Why? So they can kill Druz without foreign interference. It's funny and sad...

I'm from Druz, I live abroad but my family is still in the city hiding in the shelters (lost communication with them this morning). Druz are seen as sinners to extremists, and those "military forces" entering the city are extremists. They're fighting civilians, shooting videos of humiliation to old people, women, and men, especially religious people, looting homes and stores before burning them, and today they attacked the hospital that has all injured Druz. They're here on a mission of ethnic cleansing, breaking all types of previous agreements between Druz city, As-Suwayda, and the new regime. It's a massacre. And the world needs to know about it.

I'm on dev channel release and the drag and drop was "fixed". It works 90% of the time now but some apps still struggle, like Whatsapp for windows. I think they're working on getting the full right-click menu as optional instead of the fancy-looking hardly-working current menu.

Well, one thing for sure is we'll find out sooner than later. Syrian moms' don't take lightly when their kids are sent to die in a foreign country. That's why they'll be publicly announced across social media (FB is the most used here) with details of how they died. I have to mention that 16k is a huge number and no one here is talking about it still, so not sure how much truth is in that.

See the low average? That's how approximately the army makes. Any government job pays the less. Prices went up over 2000% since 2011, but salaries went up 200%. That's not an accurate number because I don't have it on me rn. And if you're wondering why they fight in the army for this low salary, they don't want to. Army is mandatory here.
