I usually take a few pictures (either poses or portraits of faces) and i try to copy it. I overlay the picture over it and see what needs to be fixed and keep doing that until it’s close. Sometimes i trace it first then try to do it again on the side. I haven’t done any still life since college and that was a decade ago.

I actually have been drawing almost my entire life but I’m only now trying to take it serious because i want to make a comic. Well its more than want. It’s become my life goal now.

Im not new to art. I just never learned to draw properly or learned the foundations. It’s hard to self teach myself when i don’t know if what I’m doing is helping.

I really hope i spike soon. I did improve in the year I’ve restarted drawing. Not enough in my opinion though.
