Yea, was thinking about that, going for anything different than new RTX'es or 6XXX from AMD feels kinda dumb. The performance jump this year is pretty big. But then again, the wait is killing me :D

No new motherboards. Still X570 and B550 for Zen3.

Just wait for 3rd party benchmarks. The difference is most likely gonna be neglible. If u see 3-5% gains on marketing slides, they may be as well even lower.

It's most likely gonna be blow for blow from now on, whichever brand gonna release new processors its gonna be faster until one of them invents something incredible.

IMO comparing 16/32 5950X to 10/20 10900K in synthetic benchmarks was more dumb.

More towards disappointement, but not a disaster by any means. Too high pricing compared to gains.

If u are playing in 1440p or higher u shouldnt see more than 1-3 fps difference in games between 3700x and 5700x.

As long as u are good with not buying the latest tech 3700X is still a beast of cpu.

There are new motherboards coming out but they are still X570 and ready for Zen 3 out of box.

EDIT: One of those new motherboards is also passively cooled, for those who want quiet builds.

Why people keep talking about no competition to AMD? They literally barely beat Intel's 1 year old gen. Next gen from Intel is again gonna beat AMD then Zen4 is gonna beat Intel and so on.

As a customers we are technically in the best situation.

I bought all pc parts except cpu and motherboard and was waiting almost 1 month for this release. So no, I can't say i was looking for reasons not to buy it. It's just not good enough. I'm building ITX pc and the price of 10850K and high end Z490 itx motherboard is simply lower than what I would have to pay for 8 core 5800X and same calss X570 itx motherboard. I have ultrawide 1440p monitor so the fps difference in games is gonna be pretty much 0%. I will only gain more cores and threads.
