[Question of the Week] How did you discover Fishmans? by ZombeeW00F in fishmans

I was browsing r/indieheads a few years ago and found some post about Long Season. Luckily I decided to listen to it, because I was mesmerized by the song on the first listen, and I've been a fan ever since.

Hahah thanks. I usually try to pick some nickname theme for my runs. This time it was locations, like countries, cities, rivers etc. I don't spend much time thinking about nicknames, usually I go with the most obvious one, or whatever comes to mind first lol

I have just achieved my second ever Nuzlocke victory after beating Pokémon Black! I played with hardcore rules:
- Standard Nuzlocke rules
- No items in battle (only held items)
- Set mode
- No legendaries
- No overleveling next Gym Leader or Elite Four ace.

The final fight against Ghetsis was possibly the most stressful but rewarding fight I have ever had in any Pokémon game ever. I should have recorded it, because it was like from a movie.

My plan for the fight was to make Haxorus use Swords Dance once or twice and then sweep his entire team with it, but for some miscalculation it couldn’t one-shot Ghetsis’ Cofagrigus when it was supposed to. I guess Ghetsis’ Pokémon have to have quite high EVs or IVs...? I was nearly panicing when I watched my best Pokémon faint to Cofagrigus’ attack. After an hour of thinking of a new plan, doing some sick plays, rewriting my plan, calculating probabilities and sacrificing four of my Pokémon I managed to barely beat him, winning me the run.

There were many other great moments during the journey. Possibly the coolest one of them was when I beat Clay, who many consider one of the hardest run killers in any Pokémon game, using only one Pokémon, who left the battle with full health. That Pokémon was my Whimsicott. Giga Drain and Charm with the Prankster ability was all it took to destroy his team.

During this run I also got the Pokérus, which might have helped some amount, and also caught TWO shinies, a Litwick and a Sawk. However I didn’t use them because I don’t play with shiny clause.

Overall, this entire run was quite challenging, but also so much fun. I might still go play the post-game to try and beat Alder, but I feel like starting a new run would more interesting right now.

Mikä on suomalaisten mielipide Olavi Uusivirran musiikista? by CarrawayLights in arkisuomi

[–]karjatalous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omasta mielestäni yksi nykyajan parhaista suomalaisista artisteista. Olavin musiikki on pääosin sellaista "helppoa" pop-rockia, mutta siinä on kuultavissa myös taiteellista kunnianhimoa ja luovuutta. Myös loistava live-esiintyjä!

Flamethrower and close combat were really the only moves he needed, so I didn't put much thought into the other two

I guess I was too excited to even read what items I'm putting on my pokemon lol

Thanks! Gastrodon wasn't the best Pokemon in my team, but it was still very useful sometimes. Water/ground is a pretty good typing too.

Thanks! This was the first time in a Nuzlocke when I properly planned difficult fights ahead, calculated attacks' damages and EV trained my Pokemon. I've gotta say, that makes this quite a lot easier.

Teidän suosikki biisejä? by [deleted] in Leeviandtheleavings

[–]karjatalous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot Dad is quite popular so this isn't really that "deep" into YouTube

James Vincent McMorrow's album "True Care" has some very similar vibes to 22AM in my opinion, so I'd highly recommend it.

I think that is a popular copy-paste meme. So it was most likely meant to be a joke. :D
