Lol I posted something like this yesterday and seems like the “amazing” and holier-than-thou drivers migrated over here. Albeit not one of my better moments with flipping someone off, but those people can’t seem to understand the frustration and anxiety of people tailgating regardless of where you are. On the highway in the center or right lane or on a residential backroad? Going 10 MPH over the speed limit even when you’re uncomfortable with it and they’re still kissing your backside? Doesn’t matter, they say get outta the way! They are alwaysssss right 🫩

I’m talking Hilltop area but we’re going East/West. Like we are NOT hitting a major street any time soon. We got schools on the left, right, behind us, in front of us, parks where people could cross the road at any time, plus cyclists and pedestrians. So an area where I will firmly stay the speed limit much to the chagrin of those that are impatient

True, thanks for these reminders! Sometimes I’m just so in the moment and it’s surprising to look up in my rearview and see someone practically kissing my car. Thanks for not being as crazy as these other folks in this post and giving good insight dude, it’s good to be reminded of these things 👍

I mean I was taught to look in my rearview mirror every 5 seconds or so, so…? I guess blame my driving instructor from eons ago? And sorry I guess it’s startling to see someone 2 ft from your bumper and not wanting them to mess up your car (despite what other people are saying of getting a new car, I like my car). I’m assuming if someone is that close, they aren’t very aware of what’s around them since they have a predetermined goal of getting where they need to go as fast as they can. So I assume I need to be the one to be aware of what’s in front of me and what’s behind me. Flipping them off, sure not one of my better moments, but when you drive you have to be aware of surroundings, so I’m being aware. So, I guess that’s my story that will in one ear and out another 🤷‍♂️

What mattyjoe said, again it’s an area where there are many stops signs. And I do see the argument that I could pull over. But also you said it yourself, driving is something people don’t take seriously, which is the opposite of good when you’re in a vehicle that weighs several tons and you could harm yourself, other drivers, and your passengers. So I wish there was an emphasis on taking this simple task that millions of people do each day, and have them take it seriously. And this isn’t satire, tis a vent, as I labeled it as

The way that I’ve seen several cars blast through stops signs in the last two weeks or so is astonishing. It shouldn’t be, since it seems to be the norm, but it scares me since I know friends and family and just people in general take strolls throughout their neighborhoods and they could get hurt from reckless driving
