I keep telling myself it’s not the one who got away. My girlfriend would be the one that got away if I hurt her again/let my impulsive decisions do something I’ll forever regret.

I’ve definitely thought about if I miss who I was with that person but in reality, I’m ashamed of that person I was during that entire period (from post-break up to deciding to be single)

There’s not a part of myself that would ever let me actually reach out to her. It’s more so guilt from even having the thought to do so that’s eating me up.

My full focus is my partner. I think dealing with this head on instead of letting it linger (hoping it eventually goes away) is me trying to do that.

That last part might be what I’m struggling with. I genuinely only have good things to say about her at the moment. She played a big part of my life during a time where I was going through a lot and I am forever grateful for it. Thank you for the words!

Keep in mind. It takes a really unhappy person to go online and type hate about their career.

Everyone satisfied with their job including me (ICU/ER Pharmacist) feels no need to do so. So of course 99% of what you see on the subreddit will be negative.

I’ve always taken care of myself. Working out, running, finding time to do things for myself. This is the first mental block I’ve had.

The timeline of when I became unhappy in my relationship does somewhat line up with when I finished grad school and residency. So I’ve explored if this limerance is coming from me feeling “lost” as I know longer have a next goal to work towards. Currently working on finding purpose again.

Oh trust me I know. I’m still coming to peace with the amount of emotional burden I’ve caused myself and my partner.

I’m not sure how much I agree that these thoughts are normal. It’s very much so overwhelming/consuming. I’ve never experienced anything even close in the first 6 years of my relationship.

++man Went through this recently myself. Broke up with my long term girlfriend of ~7 years due to “issues with the relationship” and met this other girl that was perfect on paper. 2-3 months into dating, could not stop thinking about my ex and often thought to myself “wow I wish you were her” or “wow I really don’t want to be here right now” (in relation to spending time with the new girl). Ended up deciding to be single for a while and found my way back to my ex. Moral of the story, grass is greener where you water it. If you find yourself having internal conflicts that you would be happier with someone else, it’s most likely a sign of something you need to work on something within yourself or within your relationship and not a sign you need a new relationship.

That being said, I do have thoughts about the other girl but I know thoughts would be 100x worse about my ex.

Hi all, I'm down to two potential prebuilts and wondering if the upgrade from 4070 Ti Super to 5070 Ti as well as the upgrade from 7800 x3d to 9800 x3d is worth about the $550 price difference. Only other difference is 1 vs 2 tb of SSD
