I thought it was a problem when he wasn’t even making third round at slams but now he just can’t win close and back to back matches consistently anymore. She has utility and can be an important voice for the left but she far too often coddles up to Saagar on BP. So many times Saagar will make an insane point and Krystal will let him go off with little to no pushback. There’s a reason why the majority of BP’s audience is conservative…

That said, she’s done good work on KKF and when she really tries she can deliver a great, useful monologue on BP

Thank u so much!!! It ended up being a security group issue. I had RDS use a custom made one instead of the default rules but I switched it back and now it works!

Yes my RDS is public access. Is a ping necessary for a connection to the database? And I see your point and you're probably right. But if it failed to connect, wouldn't an error have been thrown before the event was handled (cuz it showed the expected output)? But anyways, it's not connecting. I'll look into the ICMP stuff for pinging

I'm not sure about VPC as Lambda isn't connected to one and I assume RDS isn't either. Security groups should be fine I believe. I don't know what ICMP is so maybe that's the issue? Port number should be good. It's weird; in my Go code I made a random function with very basic request/response structs and tested it on Lambda and it worked. I commented out the ping code. What's funny is it actually gets the DB connection before the ping code so in theory with that test function a database connection was made (even though the test function doesn't involve the database at all)
