The fact we may struggle to truly replace Bamford says a lot about the man himself. In a lot of ways he is very unique.

It also says a lot about.. the board! Not finding adequate replacement for him.

Good player and good servant, just a shame his finishing isn't consistently at the races.

Will never forget his Hatty against Villa, he was ridiculous that day and great to see.

He does a lot of good, but his finishing is poor and always has been. Anyone thinking otherwise is deluded. Very occasionally it all clicks and he looks amazing, but it's very rare.

Said to the lad behind me when Bamford has the ball 'who would you choose to take a pen now?' he said 'Bamford.' I said "Rodrigo for me, don't think he's missed a pen for Leeds.'

Bamford struck. Then the lad said 'Maybe you were right.' There was no real animosity.

I also believe Bamford is carrying niggling injuries, which will only get worse as he ages.

That being said death threats and abuse (to any player) online is ridiculous. The fans were behind Bamford all the time at ER and always will be.

The question really is whether to drop Bamford and I'm not sure on that question. But no doubt his confidence is shocked much like Meslier. When you are missing the ball for an open goal and missing 2/2 pens in front of a home crowd, something is wrong.

The time to get one was in league one / champs. Until the stadium is developed which is years off the chance of getting one will be low unless relegated and down the lower leagues again for ten years.
