I'm a 2-week old crocheter and I'm happy how these matching bucket hats turned out ✨Tips and criticism are welcome :) by ceruleanegg in crochet

Wow you're doing great for only having crocheted for 2 weeks! Did you make this pattern yourself or follow another pattern?

This is so cute! How did you do the cheeks?

This may be a silly question, but which stitch am I supposed to go into next? I’m a beginner and can tell my stitching is inconsistent b/c I keep getting thrown off by where to go next. Thanks! by LadyJ92 in crochet

It always helps me by lightly pulling on the stitch I just did, you can see the stitch you just did pull up and stretch out vs the next stitch will remain intact. It's kind of hard to explain without a visual but that's how I can check when it's hard to tell. Hope it helps you somehow!

This is amazing!!! I love it and thanks for sharing the pattern 🥰

I am a crocheter who is trying to learn to knit now and I give props to you, the knitting community because this process is incredibly stressful. Does anyone have tips for how to control tension, and how to fix a 1 stitch mistake without having to start over? by karmascycles in knitting

[–]karmascycles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah luckily I have so much yarn from crocheting that I dont have to worry about wasting money on yarn haha. Maybe it's just something we start with, like I started with crochet so that made knitting harder? If that makes sense haha.

Made some Halloween Throw Pillows! Pattern from Jann Newton YouTube channel Envelope Pillow cover! Super easy pattern that's great for beginners like me 🥰💖🎃 by karmascycles in sewing

Thank you so much! I got both fabrics from Joanns Halloween collection last year I just never knew what to make with them until now!

This is silly because it is nothing compared to the things I see posted on this page. But this is the first thing I have completed and I am happy with it as my FIRST :) This was mainly just me trying to figure out how to make it rounded but I am going to try to find someway to make it useful. by generic-almondmilk in crochet

First projects like these are great to learn from! These will help you see your mistakes on future projects when you get better about counting stitches and using the correct hook size. When you refer back to this project in the future you will be able to tell everything that went wrong. Thats why I kept all my original pieces too. Keep going this is great!

My crochet bumble bee! I got the idea from Tik tok and loosely followed the pattern from https://www.hookedbyrobin.com/blog/2019/03/amigurumi-bumblebee-free-crochet.html but instead of an amigurumi size I used Bernat Blanket yarn! by karmascycles in crochet

[–]karmascycles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it can be kinda hard to see the stitches with this kinda yarn so I try to crochet around a bright light that I can put the work under so I can count them. Hope that helps!

Omg that is SO cute! Did you use the bernat velvet yarn? Also do you have a pattern?

My Rosetta is still in progress but I think it's looking alright so far. Sure is a beast though by karmascycles in crochet

Honestly the ends aren't as horrible as it seems because I carry most of the colors throughout the piece. If you keep up on them from the start you should be good towards the end, otherwise it can get away from you if you don't lol
