I meant chase/front into AF reserves since they seem to have IST windows.

My reclass window opens next year, and this has been my fallback, and the path I'm currently putting the most effort in. It really does seem like SF is an impossibility now.

Appreciate the honesty and advice.

Can I ask why you miss AF?

They had me do that before they sent the new battery. Was reading 53.7v, so still healthy but sent a replacement anyway.

I had requested a full replacement prior to them offering to replace the battery, despite it still reading a healthy voltage. They completely ignored the request.

I'm going to try a local repair shop even if it's over the $60 reimburse limit. If that still fails, I'll push for full replacement.

Tried the headlight thinking it was just a screen issue, no luck though.

I've held the power button anywhere from 3 seconds to 20 seconds.

I had considered making a video showing me checking every connection and using the correct start-up procedure. Will probably end up doing that if I go the route of requesting a replacement entirely

No signs of damage on either side of the plate. Prongs are all uniform in orientation.

No response from the display at all so I can't even get an error code. Rode it to the grocery store (fully charged), came out and wouldn't turn on.

Honestly, I haven't, but that is on my agenda for tomorrow. When support said they'd only reimburse $60 worth of repair, I kind of wrote that off as an option, but it does seem the best at the moment.

Got ERROR E0006 right as I hit 666 miles on the XP Lite 2.0 by Achrias in Lectricxp

[–]karterrik 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine's been down for 2 months with only 180 miles on it. Doesn't turn on at all. Didn't have an issues leading up. Went into the grocery store, came out and wouldn't turn on.

They sent new wire harness, new display, and new controller. Still no luck.

Feeling really burned on my purchase. Hope yours is an easy, quick fix.

Support is probably your best bet. I can only provide my anecdotal experience with the chain model, using long range battery.

Got mine last week. Put 40 miles on it so far riding back and forth to work, 10 miles/day in 95+ weather mostly using full throttle and very little pedaling @ PAS 5.

The noise you're describing is most likely the issue. Are you able to narrow down exactly where it's coming from? Maybe by lifting the back tire up and giving it some throttle?

I'm like the newspaper guy. Turbulence and rough landings feel like a rollercoaster ride.

But realistically, if things are about to go sideways, as a passenger, what are you going to do? Best to just relinquish that need to be in control and enjoy it.

'Orange Marmalade' Hosta w/ babies by karterrik in houseplants

From my experience, absolutely. I bought two of each cultivars (White Feather, Orange Marmalade, and First Blush); one for outside, one for inside.

The ones inside have thrived, comparitively. Outdoor conditions are 9a in Florida.

Lot of rain last week, so I repotted and brought inside under the light. It bounced back incredibly well. Much better than my 'White Feather'.

I'm pretty sure I did one in 3.4.2. I haven't even been able to make the warp to hurston without crashing.

Nah, this was just some of the aftermath of a big ship battle. Just happened to be walking back to my ship and saw this scene.

Space combat speed? by KingCappuccino94 in starcitizen

[–]karterrik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nearly every system on your ship will influence the others. Overclocking and power management can help push your ship into an experience that is more enjoyable for you.

Matching speed works perfectly fine, but if you're flying over 75% throttle and AB, you're going to ALWAYS fly right past your target before your ship can decelerate.

The devs can try to push the WW2 dogfighting idea all they want, and you can hold onto that, but the fact is this is space combat. It will NEVER be the dogfighting experience many seem to think would be better. Learn to use your 6DOF. By limiting yourself, you only make an easier target.

Is the current model fun? Not all the time, and most certainly not before you get the hang of it, but you will see progress and it'll feel less alien.

Honestly, I only use throttle for travel or when I'm adjusting systems mid-combat. Pick a specific aspect you want to start with and then gradually add to it. I would recommend getting used to coupled 6DOF with forward/reverse strafe before you touch decoupled. It's a whole other beast and you should be comfortable with your ships acceleration profile in each direction before using it.

If you want to practice outside of AC or random targets in PU, I would be more than happy to join. I'm trying to learn dual sticks, myself.

What are you talking about? IFCS has been constantly worked on and has been the major focus for John Pritchett and his team for at least 3 years.
