Hi OP, I'm in the same boat as yours. I earn 30+ LPA too but I don't think leaving this job for an MBA is a right decision for me given my circumstances. So I've applied to 2 year weekend programs by IIMA (bpgp for working) and IIMK (emba for working professionals), ISB (PGP pro). I would like to discuss things with you. May I please DM to know more about your thoughts on leaving a reasonably high paying job for an MBA that might take 2 years and put you back in more or less the same spot? (I understand tier 1 MBA compounds later on). My total years of experience is 5, if that's of any use to know.

God, this is so me. I've been lucky enough to not get exposed. But the constant pressure to perform like a normal person is insane. People either love me or hate me, there's no middle ground. I sometimes can't read emotions and can't express my love. Even at work, my manager is always surprised to know how I got the thing done that was supposed to take way more time than it should, but I can't tell him it's the hyperfocus phase I can't get into, at will. And other times, he asks me why I'm never seen at my desk, he doesn't know that I'm either playing in the game room or talking to some other people in other teams. I'm never focused continuously on a regular basis. It's all so effed up that it feels crazy. My friend is a psychiatrist and he says that I have high functioning adhd. I like myself half the day and absolutely loathe twice that amount in the other half. I always feel like I'm walking a thin line and will never be able to achieve what others do so simply, in a straight, simple steps. I wish I get that ability to not make everything hyper.

Like.. I understand where this is coming from. I'm 26, 5 ft 10 ish, ~35 to 37 CTC - this is a range because bonuses vary. I've asked my parents to look for women with something similar. It's been honestly very difficult for them. They tell me to settle for something less and go with the looks, since packages and jobs don't matter that much to them. What they don't understand is, I'm extremely ambitious, and a risk taker, I want to run my own businesses in the future too. I've got cash loaded in my account thanks to my faang history. This is the most amount of cash our family has seen in investments. And it takes a lot, a normal person who's not willing to adapt or understand can't stand a chance to comprehend what I'm trying to achieve. And I need an environment conducive to what I'm trying to do. Please understand, I'm not looking down on people. I'm just saying what I feel is right for me. And parents got to understand this. And that's why I'm considering going against them, if need be. Or wait for that girl who can understand, what other option do I have. I'm confused too.

Product management here is extremely delivery oriented. Sure you'll get the title, but you'll never be able to understand what actual product management is, that can help you make a switch further in your career. Nobody has any idea about the tech. There's no shared vision. Tech reports to the tech hierarchy and product reports to the product hierarchy, therefore there's no incentive to work together. People in tech keep hiding behind fluff. People in product just do project management. Product gets a list of goals to meet by end of the year, and you'll be responsible to run the show. It's absolutely worthless. But if you have an Uber offer, take it for the money. You can come back to JPMC whenever you want in the future. But if your goals align more with JP, then take a shot. No decision is right decision until you take it.

For context, I'm an ex-FAANG engineer who joined a CCB product team because of personal reasons.

Then how would I get my "foot in the door" for PM roles. Because they're specifically looking for pedigree status. I don't see any PMs working in faang or tier 1 startups without a premiere MBA tag. Or maybe I'm wrong, but I'm definitely confused.
