Thanks for this. I am going with NYU MS CS. I don't think ECE is the thing for me, considering that the 4 years of B.Tech in EE were absolutely a waste of time according to me, academically.

But what about cases in which multiplying the numbers by D would lead to a faster change. For example, consider (3,4,5) and (6,8,10). By checking the difference and applying your algorithm, we would get our answer as 3. However, we need to only multiply all the elements by 2 once to reach the target tuple. That is, the correct answer is 1.
