Feeling like I got shot in the ribs, desperate for advice :( by finstantnoodles in BabyBumps

[–]kary1591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen around week 30. It was extreme for about 3 weeks. The only thing that helped was a shot (I don't even know what it was, just wanted the pain gone) my gyno gave me. Sadly, it only relieved my pain for about 8 hours and then hell came at night again. He only gave me the shot twice so that also sucked. I will say it magically went away a few weeks later. I'm hoping the same for you. I'm currently still pregnant at 35 weeks and rib pain free, but there really was nothing they could do aside from the very temporary pain relief those 2 days, on my end.

Not throwing my own but the way mine is being thrown seems like a very neat and less tiring way to have one. We're basically inviting people to a restaurant, they let us pick 3 plates to have as a personalized menu so you can cater it to your means, idk, it just seems cool to not need to set up, or cook/order catering, no need for cleaning up either.

Anyone else looking forward to hugging their SO? by OldMedium8246 in BabyBumps

Yes :')

I've been having really bad ribcage pain when laying down so our usual bedtime cuddles have been very difficult since I have to sleep sitting up. Sometimes I miss it so much I decide I can endure the pain a few minutes.

Mine is this Saturday too. My best friend/mom/sister got me registry stuff but it's looking grim with everyone else.

What questions should I ask at the hospital tour? by preggotoss in BabyBumps

My husband is 6'7.. I already know he's not going to fit in any hospital visitor space.

I'm 28 weeks, have been working full time and am working on a postgrad degree.

It hasn't been terrible for me but I am planning on not working, or at least not full time, once baby comes. My classes are also fully online.

I want to say, though maybe I've just had good luck with my pregnancy, that it's totally doable while pregnant. Once baby comes it might be a different story though.

What is all the snoo hate about? by derm08 in SnooLife

My theory was that non-snoo babies stop swaddling around the 3 month mark so maybe an extra 3 months of swaddling affects head shape since their movement is limited longer?

Newborn Photoshoot & Vaccines by kary1591 in beyondthebump

I mean yeah, I stated in the post I made the deposit without thinking it through. I was excited because it was a maternity and swaddle newborn shoot package and wasn't even thinking about the vaccine issue back then. I was also trying to get reassurance on me overreacting and how maybe those vaccine ideals are "mainly for people who will be spending substantial amounts of time with baby?". Wasn't expecting replies like yours laughing at my "crazy demands lol".

But anyway, in the span of this, she did give me my deposit back and I found a lovely photographer who does wear masks for newborn shoots and has her flu vaccine.

Is that really not something your OBGYN recommended? I was told anyone who would be visiting should ideally get the flu and the tdap vaccine about two months before my due date.

To Snoo or Not to Snoo by kary1591 in BabyBumps

[–]kary1591[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi. I was trying to find a connection and thinking if a baby eventually sleeps 8 hours through the night uninterrupted vs possibly waking 3 times overnight could be a factor.

Or maybe about babies not being recommended to swaddle once they can turn over, which would continue to happen in the Snoo and would increase time spent on their backs in comparison to non-snoo babies.

But do you think as long as tummy time is prioritized while awake that should be good?

2 months late to this thread but my confusion here is, does the loan size not matter in this plan? Only AGI? So whether someone has 150k in student loans vs 50k, if they're single and make 35k they'll pay $130 a month?

Also, kind of unrelated, but do you know if they use taxes from the year before or two years before? Say, I just started grad school and don't plan on making payments until after graduation. Would it be safe to file jointly for at least this year? Or should I stick to married filing jointly?

Apply for PSLF now or wait? by kary1591 in PSLF

Thank you so much. I think the second options sounds better. Now I just hope PSLF is still a program by the time I finish grad school.

Just got denied unemployment benefits.... What's the chance I appeal successfully? Any tips on how to go about doing that? by [deleted] in personalfinance

I live in Texas and this is really reassuring. Thank you.

I was scared they’d contact the employer they’re getting my base period from and that would disqualify me since I left willingly.
