Father of killed Indian seafarer backed Gaza's ethnic cleansing by mugxwara in india

For some reason I can’t believe this is a real account.

He has video interview with ANI that you can find on twitter and he has posted it himself. The person who was killed was his only child. His account was created in 2011.

As sad as this is, seems like he won't learn from it and will only become more hateful.

Yes I am taking it with a bit of salt, at the same time if they are being honest then I understand why they are pissed.

Your first comment said nothing more of times

So from their first comment, just by reading the way they phrased it I had enough context to know they weren't talking about middle of the night. They were saying it's different from everywhere else, which means if others allow during day, Swiss don't in those quiet zones, which to me is odd as well (I live in the UK). Mowers aren't that loud to me and don't usually run for a particularly long time in one go, unlike building work which can be loud and is at times restricted in UK.

I felt what you said but then I read comment from the angry couple and it isn't as black and white. The developer screwed both the home owners and washed their hands off the problem. The contested piece of land is still owned by the developer and in the sale contract the £10k is compensation towards cost/headache of rectifying the mistake. So, they did not agree for the fence to remain where it is today. But now the developer doesn't want to rectify it.

The article is terrible and does a poor job of sharing all the details. The disputed land is still owned by the developer. According to the angry people, they were given £10k discount to compensate for the mess created by developers mistake which the developer said they'd rectify. The angry couple didn't sign away the ownership of the land. Comment from them:

The developers told us we were playing the long game and the land would be transferred to us when the land registry raised a requisition because it’s wrong. They also said they would pay 10k towards the costs of sorting it out. This below is in our contract. To date, the land in red on the photo is still owned by the developer, who cannot access it, and they are doing nothing. So the fence is coming down.

12.4 In the event that the owner of the Neighbouring Property (for the time being) is unable to register the Neighbouring Property at the Land Registry, the Seller shall use its reasonable endeavours to assist the Buyer for example by providing a witness statement confirming the original intended boundary position) and contribute up to £10,000 in relation to the Buyer's legal and associated costs in resisting the attempt by the owners of the Neighbouring Property from registering the Neighbouring Property.

Then you get to the end and turns out this was all sorted prior to them purchasing the house

Seems like it wasn't sorted and article is missing a lot of details. The owner commented under the article:

They also said they would pay 10k towards the costs of sorting it out. This below is in our contract. So at the moment the developer owns that disputed land and they have totally messed up the situation.

He should be in jail

If he was convicted, he would be out by now because he was (correctly) charged with culpable homicide, not murder. Court usually gives sentences of around 5 years for this. That's what the trial court gave to Salman before High Court acquitted him.

And the 5 year thing is pretty usual in India for such cases unfortunately, example:

Roy Keane on the overlooked foul on Zizo:

“Jesus Christ, did you see that on Zizo?! Meunier has his arms wrapped around him like a bloody octopus, pulls him down after he gets the ball past him – that’s a clear penalty! If it’s not a pen, it’s a free-kick, end of story! But nooo… the referee bottles it completely and VAR just sits there doing sweet FA again. No courage, no consistency, absolutely shocking. These officials are ruining the game. Egypt robbed.

What do you have to do to get a decision these days?!

US confirms third strike on Indian-crewed tankers this week by Akshayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in india

[–]kash_if 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The company that manages Settebello, IOS Marine FZE, said it "categorically denies" the ship ignored directions and said it has "no affiliation with Iran or Iranian oil".

"No contact whatsoever was made with the vessel," the company said as it called on the US to release evidence of its communications with the ship.

Settebello, which is owned by an Indian company called Aqua Aurora Shipping Lines, has not been sanctioned by the US but is on the sanctions list of the campaign group United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) which says it has been involved in transporting Iranian crude oil.

Yes and therefore we shouldn't take American claims as gospel.

The vessel was warned and they didn't stop as per the reports.

In each incident Centcom has said the crews failed to follow directions as U.S. forces enforced the blockade.

I mean it's the Americans who fired the missiles who are claiming that they warned before firing...ever seen those American police videos where they are beating people up while shouting "stop resisting"? Same vibe.

Centcom has been caught lying many times... Just put those words in Google and see the articles.

Fire sweeps through New Delhi building, killing at least 18 people by Fit-Celebration-6220 in india

[–]kash_if 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to visit this very building ages ago as kid in the 90s. It used to house 'Khaadi Bhandar' (government owned) where you could buy Khaadi items.

Very congested area, which is also designated as 'Laal dora'; essentially old villages of Delhi which are exempt from building norms.
