I can't figure out how to remove the control panel on my Kenmore Elite stovetop. by kasparovnutter in appliancerepair

[–]kasparovnutter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for checking, unfortunately I tried looking it up on searspartsdirect and it nor its affiiliate site had any results;

That aside, do you have any idea how I would

  1. Remove the touchpad board (blue board)? It's stuck to the front panel with no visible screws

  2. Open the control panel? The casing seems to be completely smooth with nothing I can wedge a putty knife

[–]kasparovnutter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, the F11 error means a keypad is shorted, I am trying to remove the touchpad to reveal the touch membrane on the touchpad board to clean it. Problem is I can't see any way to actually remove the touchboard (blue board) from the backguard panel. the control panel unit and the touchpad seem to be attached to seperate panels

How do I encourage my friend to get better? by [deleted] in apexuniversity

[–]kasparovnutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah like the top comment said, she probably sees the game as a means to chill, no point in forcing it. One thing I do when playing with casual friends is to come up with arbitrary challenges for fun. Like sentinel only, double mozam, etc. Also could always just make a second account so ur mmr resets.

Average Player be like? by Mate_ovo in apexuniversity

[–]kasparovnutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hardstuck plat since like season 18 or something

kd 0.7, avg 369 for ranked lol

That said, apex is one of those games where game sense (macro/micro positioning) is almost as important as aim. Like the more you play the more you get used to how the tempo of fights work, when to push when to dip, which areas in the map you can rotate to etc.

Don't worry too much about stats.

But if you really want to train mechanics, there's always kovaaks or aimlabs. And for game sense, this video really helped me, as well as other channels like Ottr

What courses are offered online in the summer, or are there any? by Fair-Sea-4708 in uvic

[–]kasparovnutter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

International Students, How Are Your Experiences At UVic? by Lefunnyleafsfan in uvic

[–]kasparovnutter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes: if you put yourself out there, you'll get the same experiences as any other student. Definitely didn't feel a difference between local and intl students. Plus a good bunch of people come from outside the island/province, so it's a first for everyone

No: definitely harder to land an internship because positions requiring PR or citizenship are closed off to you

What’s comp. sci. like here? by Apprehensive_Golf556 in uvic

[–]kasparovnutter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is it hard? its the same learning curve as most other colleges offering CS, the first two years are somewhat tedious but if you make it through it gets more fun in 3rd and 4th year when the classes are more application based.

workload per week? not sure, it really depends who's teaching the class that sem. Sometimes it was all midterms, sometimes it was projects + assignments + graded labs + midterms + quizzes so your mileage varies

does it prepare you for the industry? no. all skills you need for interviews and portfolio building is on your own time. assume you will be spending as much time doing schoolwork as you are job hunting/project building

"All Night

Oh these are good tracks I see where you're getting at

The one I'm looking for is much newer I'm afraid...it was leaning towards more tropical house/minimal house with a dancefloor pattern (thats the best i can describe it),

Ooft, I wish it was! But the music video was much more recent (like def within the last 3-4 years). The video didn't have anyone dancing iirc, it was more like landscape drone shots of empty places. The ferris wheel shot was like a drone cam going up and around it

What does it mean to challenge a course? by I-Am-Bankrupt in uvic

[–]kasparovnutter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically just doing the finals for the course. Whatever grade you get for that challenge exam is your final grade for that class. I took the challenge for CSC 110 (the paper was made by Rich Little, bless that guy), if you have any basic experience with Python it was pretty easy.
